Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanice Jenkins.
Hi Shanice, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am Coach Royal and I have been empowering and inspiring others for as long as I can remember. I have always been that go to girl amongst my family and friends. The go to person for advice, wisdom, and direction. Most people call me before they made life-changing decisions. I never knew how valuable that was or the fact that it would be the gift that has guided me to where I am now. At 16 years old, I took my first leap of faith into using my voice on a platform to impact others by preaching my very first sermon at church on a Sunday morning! That day confirmed God’s call on my life to transform the lives of others with my words. While I was sure about the calling I wasn’t always sure about my direction. I wasn’t sure how could I use my gift of empowerment consistently while also sustaining my lifestyle so I began to pray intentionally for direction in my gifts.
God told me to start with events and I did just that, fresh out of high school, I gave birth to my first empowerment event The Pillow Talk. I hosted this event quarterly and it became a life-changing event for many women. Seeing the impact of these events I knew there had to be a way for me to be more hands-on and impact these women’s lives consistently. God led me to coaching with a random phone call from a woman that was interested in my events but she really had the answers to my prayers. She was the owner of a life coach program and I was led to tell her my concerns of how I wanted to impact women one on one and more consistently. She went on to become my coach and trained me as a life coach. Through my coaching business, I have impacted hundreds of women through group and one on one coaching. Late 2020 God told me a shift was coming to my business and that I needed to access the women that were coming to me for help and become the resource they really needed to be. I didn’t understand what he was saying in that moment but, in December 2020 I did my final group coaching session and I asked every woman to turn in an assignment specifying one specific thing that I could help them accomplish in 2021. Every single woman asked me to help them become a life coach. God told me to become the resource and out of this group coaching my coaching certification program was birthed. I have since went on to single-handedly certify over 40 women and counting. Every decision in my business is made with prayer. God gets the credit for the success of this business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No! No business is smooth, but even the bumps in the road are rewarding, I have built everything myself in this business and that has to be the hardest part for me. I know the vision in my mind and I like to make sure it’s executed the way I see it, which leads me to wear a lot of hats in my own business. Starting out, I was doing my own graphics, recording and editing my own videos and pictures, answering emails, booking appointments. You name it I did it! This made it difficult to balance life as a wife and mother and not become a slave to my own vision. Thankfully God has now empowered me to delegate but, I am still very hands-on in my business.

I am Coach Royal and I help go to girls like myself discover the wealth in their wisdom through my coaching courses and community. Ultimately I certify coaches and help them give birth to their signature coaching programs. I am known for helping women transition from the go to girl amongst their family and friends to the go to coach in their niche for their ideal clients. What sets me apart is that my brand is built on faith, I help women of faith, and my business is governed by both business and biblical principles. My coaching not only pushes the go to girl into another level of purpose but also a greater level of faith, I am proud of the rapid growth that has happened in my business, I am so grateful to say that I have certified over 40 women through my program.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?

Now is the perfect time to start coaching because the industry of coaching is expanding rapidly.
