Rising Stars: Meet Adam Gunn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Gunn.

Hi Adam, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We are Nicole and Adam, a husband and wife business duo! We come from creative backgrounds. Nicole has extensive experience in graphic design, working for art museums, start-ups and large corporations in the past. Adam has extensive background in business and communications, having worked in the healthcare and non-profit industries. While working in our past occupations, we felt that we were not utilizing our skillsets or desires to their full potential. So after much thought and planning, we left our jobs to start Seventh Ave Creative.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Entrepreneurship is never a smooth road, but it is a highly desirable road with the possibility of high reward. That being said, we started our venture just a few months prior to the global pandemic. Just like everyone else, the pandemic has made life difficult and we had to pivot and be innovative in our business. We believe these trials have made our business stronger for the future as the world resumes to a new normal.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Seventh Ave Creative specializes in branding. We believe your brand is so crucial to setting you apart and identifying with your customers. Aesthetically pleasing design in all business aspects showcases professionalism and quality. We work with each client to not only create the brand of their dreams but what best identifies with the target customer. This customer oriented approach in design utilizes industry research and data to provide the best return. This approach sets us apart from a typical “graphic designer” or “Marketer” and allows us to specialize and be experts in one area versus being average in a multitude of areas.

What were you like growing up?
Adam is what you would call “Type A.” His go-to is operations and how he can create efficiency in all areas of business. He loves the outdoors and working on his project car. Nicole is what you would call “Type-b.” Her go-to is creativity and loves all things art. She also loves the outdoors, especially the beach.
