Daily Inspiration: Meet Jadyn Creech

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jadyn Creech.

Hi Jadyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In all my years of being in school, there has always been a girl who needed a pad or a tampon sometimes, I was the girl. After going on what seems like a scavenger hunt for these feminine products, you are still only given one or two and no place to put it. Protect Your Temple was founded to educate and provide for women and young girls in need, whether it’s making feminine pouches which include everything they’ll need to get through a menstrual cycle or simply just being there for any questions, concerns or even just a conversation that they may not want to have with anybody else.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, since I’ve started Protect Your Temple, it has been hard to get overall support and the community outreach that I am aiming for. Although many generous donations have been received, it is hard to encourage people to continuously support. Being that this is a new organization, I have not yet recruited anybody for help organizing and managing projects. I understand that being consistent on social media is big when it comes to reaching more people and having a larger support system. Unfortunately, I’ve never really been into social media so content creation is definitely one of my weaknesses. As a full-time college student and part-time worker, it has been hard to keep up with posting and engaging with the people that are currently on the page. Even though the projects would still get done, I definitely believe that with a team, the numbers would increase tremendously as far as outreach and donations.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a full-time student at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia (currently remote). I am a sophomore biology major criminal justice minor. On-campus I am a member of the Terpsichorean Dance Company, Generation action, and Girls Rule. Off-campus I participate in many community service projects with Feeding South Florida and Handson Broward, I am also a volunteer for Inclusivity Inc. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I am very hopeful, give me nothing and I guarantee it will be turned into something, I believe in myself when nobody else does. Things that seems impossible to other people inspire me to make it look possible.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was curious, I was enrolled in a new activity every month from cooking classes, tennis, golf, piano, gymnastics, volleyball and dance. The only one that stuck is dance. With that being said, my personality is very outgoing, I come off as shy and soft-spoken but eventually, that changes. Often the go-to person, I am very good with my words and people tend to find comfort in speaking with me.
