Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Harvey.
Hi Michele, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The story of Modern Love Productions starts on our wedding day five years ago. We had a magical wedding on New Year’s Eve 2015, and oddly enough, we didn’t hire a wedding videographer to capture our wedding. Wishing that we had a wedding video was part of our inspiration to start filming weddings and start our business. Michele has a film degree and Osiris has always had a creative spirit and interest in film, so starting Modern Love Productions was the perfect way for us to be artistic and create meaningful wedding films for couples to watch again and again. Prior to starting Modern Love Productions, we both worked in the nonprofit world and we still integrate that passion into Modern Love Productions by having a matching donation charity program and offering pro bono nonprofit videos.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As creatives, there was a learning curve when starting a small business from the ground up. It seems like we made practically every new business mistake in the book, even twice. However, both of us are highly motivated and dedicated so we have grown into a successful small business.

Modern Love Productions is a wedding videography company. We provide wedding videography services throughout Florida, the U.S., and abroad for destination weddings. We specialize in creating wedding films with a soul. At Modern Love Productions, our films are fun, elegant, and emotional story-driven films that focus on the natural and genuine moments between our couple and their loved ones. We weave audio from vows, toasts, and natural audio from throughout the day into our films to add depth to the film and tell the couple’s story. As a boutique film studio, we limit the number of weddings we film a year, so we can devote our time to each wedding and intentionally edit each wedding film. Additionally, we pride ourselves on getting to know our couples and providing them a great experience from start-to-finish.

At Modern Love Productions, inclusivity is one of our core values. It’s important for us to share love stories of all kinds and for people of all walks of life to see themselves reflected in our wedding films. Our wish is that our wedding films persist in a family over generations and become a family heirloom. With everything going on in the world, we love that our films are full of joy and love.
