Today we’d like to introduce you to Kwansi Cooke AKA Mr. All work is good work
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Kwansi Cooke, I am 30 years old and I am a motivational public speaker, real estate investor, US Army Soldier, and devoted husband. I was born in Newark, NJ and raised in East Orange, NJ. Both of my parents are from a country in South America Called Guyana. With my parents being foreigners they instilled a strong sense of pride and hard work in me at a young age. In 2010, I decided to join the United States Army to get away from my drug and gang infested environment. Since then I have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and one year away from earning my Master’s degree from Bowie State University, in Public Administration. I stepped into my purpose as a public speaker in 2015 when I was assigned as a United States Army recruiter. As a recruiter my job was to inform citizens about the military with hopes of them joining.
As I would go to universities, high schools, or the local barbershop I found myself not so much talking to individuals about the Army, but instead talking to them about how to become successful in life and the keys to elevation. I started using the now popular phrase, “All Work Is Good Work,” to remind people that an inch or a mile progress is progress. I branded and formed my public speaking company, All Work IS Good Work, LLC, to really step into my purpose and change lives using my words. I have spoken at many different schools and events. Growing up in my neighborhood I would always see a lot of abandoned properties and think to myself how much nicer a block could look if groomed, and how much space was wasted that could be better utilized. Last year I founded my real estate investing company, Higher Living Homes, LLC. My company focuses on flipping and renting properties. The company focuses on creating short term rental properties for people in professions that require them to travel or the everyday person that wants to travel and experience the amenities and services of a hotel but within a home.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Growing up in Newark/East Orange NJ, managing to not become a product of my environment was an obstacle in itself. With the lack of resources provided and role models to guide you in the right direction the biggest challenge was believing in a vision I couldn’t physically see, enough to navigate myself out. Now settled into my career path, Being an entrepreneur there is always unexpected hurdle that can knock you off your pivot. COVID-19 has been a big obstacle for not only myself but many speakers in my field. The inability to have that face-face interaction has made it very hard to speak to large groups of people. However, with social media being a great way to reach a mass amount of people at one time, I have still been able to reach those that need to be reached and network with others to continue to grow my brand and business. All in all I’m thankful for the obstacles along my path because they have enhanced my savy when it comes to life and business.

I am a motivational speaker and real estate investor. All Work Is Good Work, LLC is a Lifestyle turned brand and business. I created the platform to reach individuals that need motivation achieving their goals and overall producing a lifestyle out of positivity and confidence. I specialize in preparing at risk youth for adult hood and everyday life, leadership development for companies that are looking to have their employees perform at optimal level, and mental detoxing for individuals who need assistance kick starting their journey’s. Higher Living Homes, LLC is my real estate company in which I flip and rent properties, specializing in short term rentals for a homestyle vibe with hotel amenities. What sets me apart from others is that I don’t only speak motivation onto others but into them. I specialize in activating a lifestyle in my audience that naturally curates the life they desire through asking questions instead of making statements about how to elevate their life to the next level. In order to navigate through your purpose you need to understand your why. What I am most proud of brand wise, is to be living proof of everything I preach. I am my own testimony, I’ve manifested my life through positivity, hard work, focus and dedication. My life is my brand therefor I’m never clocked out of work.
How do you think about luck?
I believe that everything happens in divine timing, luck is the result of hard work and faith. My understanding that nothing will be handed to me if I don’t put in the work is what has kept me ahead thus far. The idea that luck can replace diligence is a huge misconception.
