Rising Stars: Meet Daniela Angel of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Angel

Hi Daniela, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Colombia and I have been living in the United States for three grateful years. Since I was a little girl, I was always intrigued by arts and crafts. My mother always motivated me to transmit my thoughts and emotions through creativity. During my childhood I was encouraged to create paintings, home crafts, small sculptures, gardening, poetry, music and dance. All those experiences made me more sensitive, they taught me to have a deep respect for life and all its manifestations. When I was ready to go to college, I decided to follow my creative passion for the arts and chose to pursue Architecture. I received my Architect Degree in 2016. As excited as I was to begin to create and design buildings or work for an architect firm, I faced the crude reality that there were not that many job opportunities in my field. Unfortunately, this was the reality check for many young professionals in Colombia, spending several years going to a university to graduate and then they can’t find a job that pays enough to make a living. Certain aspects can limit our dreams and potential which can then make us feel trapped. But you must be ready because life is going to give you exactly what you need. What I received was unconditional love, trust and support. All from one person, I said “yes” to him and to a new beginning in life. This is how love brought me to Miami.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life in Miami has been wonderful, but it has come with obstacles and challenges. Challenges such as starting a new life in a different country it’s always difficult. There is always a cultural shock and language barriers, but the hardest part of it is leaving family behind.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
After 3 years of living in Miami, I am now a licensed real estate agent with ReMax Presidential of Aventura, Florida. I also work as designer assistant at Lulo Design Studio. As a Realtor, my main motivation is to help people invest in their perfect home and a place where the new homeowner can connect emotionally and where a lifetime of lasting memories will happen. As a designer assistant, I still follow my creative passion.

What matters most to you?
A few things that I value most are family, the tranquility in doing things well and doing everything with love. I believe that in all that I endeavor to accomplish, I must maintain my personal essence throughout and give my best. Having empathy and respect for others and the environment that we share is important to me as well. These are all important to me because they are the compilation of what I have learned from situations, people, from life, and most importantly, because it brings me joy while bringing others joy all at the same time.
