Conversations with L.O.V.E Culture

Today we’d like to introduce you to L.O.V.E Culture.

Jacksonville, Florida based music collective L.O.V.E. Culture features Che, Rob Mari, Flash The Samurai, SpiritXIII and EASYin2d. L.O.V.E is an acronym for League Of Vibrant Energies and Culture is something that’s bigger than one individual. Their first collective project, “Fluidity,” was released in February of 2017 and was followed by a string of headlining shows and a tour throughout the state of Florida. Their motto is “be like water,” which to them means to take things as they come and being adaptable to different situations and roles in life. Knowing when to be calm and still like a lake, and when to rage like a rapid river. The individual entities that came together to form the collective felt that there was a void of positive and strong lyricism in the local and national music scene. L.O.V.E. Culture is also a statement letting the masses know that a little love can go a long way and that the love for music can translate into love for each other.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing is very smooth. Although we like to believe the way we formed was destined and organic, we are still humans that deal with everyday struggles up and coming artists go through. There is five of us, sometimes trying to manage five personalities that want the best for the greater can be challenging. Also, with hip-hop groups being few and far between it can be difficult at times to get someone to buy into multiple individuals versus one.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Again, L.O.V.E Culture, League of Vibrant Energies, we are a hip hop group composed of Rappers, Singers, Songwriters, Producers and Engineers based in North Florida. We create Old-school Hip-Hop and soulful R&B vibes, also incorporating Trap and various other elements in our sound. What we are known for is our electric stage presence during shows and creating refreshing music that cultivates our current climate. We are most proud of the connections we have been able to obtain and continue to obtain, such as Void Magazine, Sprite, Cinematic Records and our ability to continue to grow in our music. What sets us apart from others is our ability to adapt to any situation, our content and message, and our gravitational pull when people see us or hear us for the first time.
