Today we’d like to introduce you to Allegra Allen.
Allegra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my hair business the beginning of my sophomore year in college, 2020. Ever since I could remember I always had an interest for hair but never thought I would be doing it. Living in Broward County, I was surrounded by countless young entrepreneurs so I knew opening a business was something that I wanted to do. Amour Luxe collection didn’t always consist of me selling and installing hair but it originally was my lash company. One day I remember sitting in the bathroom doing my two closes friends’ hair and thinking maybe I should take doing hair seriously that is exactly what I had done. I started doing lace wig installs for free and eventually invested in myself and took a class with a popular hairstylist in my area. After my class, I could say my business started to book within my first-month open. I worked extra hard and after two months in the hair game I opened my own suite where I now do and sell hair.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
In the four months of my hair business, I can honestly say it has not been easy, but I know it takes hard work to be where you want. The most challenging part about the journey was finding clients and being able to take clients in the middle of a pandemic while also managing the school as a full-time student. I would also say a challenge would be dealing with many different clients/customers but trying to have the mindset that you want to please each and everyone even when you cannot.
We’ve been impressed with Amour Luxe Collection, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is called Amour luxe collection. I specialize in lace wigs and also sell hair extensions. Amour Luxe originally started as a lash business but grew into more. You should know that I have only been doing hair for about three and a half months and had the opportunity of slaying almost over 200 beautiful ladies. What sets me apart from other stylist is that I am a young full-time student who is dedicated to becoming the best. The thing I am most proud of about my brand is how big it has become and how much love and support I have received from people all over, coming from bookings all the way to hair orders. I want my readers to know that anything is possible if you put time, effort, and faith into it. That I’m just a young woman chasing my dreams while managing the school. I also offer lace wigs and sell quality hair.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is when I see people around me being happy. It brings joy to me when I see my friends, family, or even strangers doing great in life.
