Today we’d like to introduce you to Chē Rocker.
Chē, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I fell in love with the beauty and intricacy of hair in high school. I transitioned from relaxed hair and went completely natural my sophomore year in high school. Throughout my natural hair journey, I have fallen in love with the different things that Black hair can do. As I began to explore my natural hair and peruse every kink and curl, I fell in love with hair extensions.
Every natural know leave out is practically forbidden, so we don’t do that around here. Not to discredit anybody who does leave out, but heat damage is a path I’ve already been on and I don’t plan on going back.
With that being said, lace wigs, frontals, closures, and bundles have held me down! The fact that I can consistently and effortlessly switch up my look every other day is such a beautiful thing. It was my sophomore year in college that I chose to embark on this entrepreneurial journey and start selling hair and lashes. In 2019, Chē Collection hit the ground running and has not stopped since. Not only have we been able to successfully sell our hair and lashes this past year, but we’ve also built a strong community comprised of our ChēDollz who are exceptional and beautiful in every way.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The journey of being a business owner is typically never a smooth one. There are many highs but there most definitely are just as many lows that came along with owning a business. There are times where things can get overwhelming and be a lot to handle. Being a college student with a job and owning a business while trying to maintain a social life should be an Olympic sport. Balancing all these aspects of my life have been a challenge, but it has made me stronger and into the person that I am today.
Over the course of a year, a lot can change and a lot has. Owning a business is a learning process and you never stop learning. You may fall down seven times, but you got to make sure you get back up eight!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Chē Collection – what should we know?
Chē Collection is a one-stop beauty shop located in Miami, Florida. We offer lace wigs, hair extensions, lace frontals, lace closures, lashes, fashion accessories, and more. We also provide different services, such as custom wig design, hair installs, coloring services, and FREE hair consultations.
Our mission is to give our ChēDollz confidence by bringing out the beauty of diversity. At Chē Collection, we want everyone to feel beautiful in our collection of diverse hair textures and other cosmetics. Regardless of what society says, we believe everyone deserves to feel beautiful and confident while switching up their look no matter what!
When it comes to what drives and motivates us, it is the impact that we have within our community of ChēDollz. Being able to provide our dollz with quality and memorable experiences is one of our greatest feats. We are very fortunate to have a platform where we not only educate and inform but change lives as well.
Lash Lines by Chē Collection – “The most disrespected person in America is the black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the black woman.” – Malcom X.
The purpose behind the various lash lines by Chē Collection is to empower black women and to serve as a constant reminder of how inspiring and dope we are. The names of every lash style from our lash lines are words, phrases, and adjectives that describe black women (i.e., Resilient, Sensual, Brown Suga’, Fierce, Unapologetic). Another great example is our lash style named Chardonnay since black women are fine like wine and get better with time!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
The first person I would like to thank and acknowledge is God. Without Him, I am nothing, he is my strength when I am weak and my peace when things crumble. He’s held me down and has truly been the best confidant and friend that I could ever ask for. Knowing that I will always have someone in my corner who will always love me, support me, and never leave or forsake is the best thing in this entire world! He truly deserves all the credit and then some.
Aside from Big Homie G, my family and loved ones have played such a vital and major role. From me being busy with school or work and my family doing pickups, deliveries, and advocating to the sun and moon for me has been such a blessing. My loved ones include my friends who have become family, my boyfriend, my mentor, and other close friends. All of my loved ones have encouraged me and have truly been nothing but supportive of me.
Last but certainly never least, Chē Collection wouldn’t be where it is today without our ChēDollz. The abundance of love and support that our dollz give is unmatched and they all hold a very special place in my heart. A big shoutout goes to anyone who has ever said a kind word to me, encouraged me, and even motivated me to do better and be better.
