Today we’d like to introduce you to Irvon Plummer.
Irvon, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am the youngest of 11 children. Life was amazing growing up. I always had someone to play with and talk too. As it pertains to my career in Event Coordinating, it started when I was probably at the age of 14. At the church I was a member at I would coordinate all the youth events. Whether it was a concert or a field trip, I always loved the logistical part of making it happen. That is where my passion for Event Management began. As I grew in my craft, I’ve had the opportunity to plan tons of event and even went on to manage different artist in the South Florida region.
I started my first company in 2013 with mindset that I was going to take over the gospel industry as it pertains to events. I was a little cocky to say the least. I was highly mistaken. After about two years of business, God told me to shut it down and take an entire year off. I was at a loss for words but I followed suit. When it came for that year to end, I was challenged with giving everything at a church service. I had to ask myself if God was talking to me. I ultimately gave the last $100. Because of my obedience in that small thing, God has tremendously blessed me beyond what my words can convey.
Has it been a smooth road?
I believe that no road to success is necessarily smooth. Just like other entrepreneurs, I’ve had to deal with betrayal, slander, and so many other obstacles. Some of the obstacles I placed there myself but through it all I can honestly say that I stayed focus and concentrated on the prize ahead of me.

Plummer Enterprises is a multifaceted management and marketing company established in 2015. Plummer Enterprises creates a unique name and image for our clients in the consumers’ mind, mainly through online and digital marketing, pr, and advertising campaigns. We establish a significant and differentiated presence in the market that attracts and retains consumers for our clients. What I’m most proud of as a company is our involvement in the South Florida community. In 2018, we started a community initiative called Shop With A Boss. Shop with a Boss provides a fun-filled day for children and teens from the ages of 5-18 years old. This unique winter holiday shopping experience assists parents/guardians in need who may not be able to afford gifts for their children while at the same time creating a lasting relationship between entrepreneurs and the community. The participating children are identified by schools, churches, youth organizations, and social services agencies.
On the day of the event, entrepreneurs and business owners volunteer their time to be with the Shop With A Boss participants. Each child will get to experience a shopping spree of $100 Dollars. During the shopping experience, children are encouraged by their “Boss for the Day” to buy 1 or 2 gifts for someone like their parents or another special someone in their life.
Within the last two years, through the Shop With A Boss community give-back initiative, we have been able to sponsor just shy of 100 participants. Bringing the monetary contribution close to $10,000.
Another avenue of community involvement that we partake in is our annual P.U.S.H. Entrepreneur Summit & Awards. Attending this summit with talented, experienced speakers has given attendees the chance to learn from those who have become successful in their particular field of world. There’s so much more to a conference or summit than sitting in a room listening to someone lecture you. Many attendees of conferences say the biggest benefits they got was meeting people just like them. The life of an entrepreneur can honestly be a lonely one, especially when you aren’t surrounded by an established community. The only way around this is to make connections from outside your usual circles. PUSH Summit is that start.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
There is nothing that compares to South Florida. We have something that no other city has. We are a melting pot of texture, love, and experiences that you don’t get in a lot of places. What I like the least is the hurricanes that block out our beautiful, bright shining sun.
