Today we’d like to introduce you to Magda Colodetti.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Magda. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started working as a lighting designer in New York at an office called L ‘Observatoire run by a famous lighting designer Hervé Descottes in 2001. It quickly turned into passion and love of mine. I returned to Brazil and began to work in this field at that time, in parallel with my architecture office. In 2014, I decided to move to the US and accomplish two of my dreams that were living abroad and working with lighting. After a search, I realized that Miami has a wonderful landscape but no one can see it at night because only a few properties have landscape lighting or architectural lighting, so I decided to open my EOS company.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it’s never a smooth ride when working in the world of art and in another country. A big struggle I had was when I first came to America, was being able to communicate in English and find good partners as our suppliers. But in life things that are worth having, you typically have to fight for. So, every day fights to be bigger and better.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with EOS Outdoor Lighting – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
EOS Outdoor Lighting specializes in designing and creating the perfect ambiance lighting for your property and landscape. Our professional services cover landscape and pathway lighting that guarantees exceptional aesthetic appeal and safety. We approach every project from two core perspectives – aesthetics and functionality.
I’m very proud to offer to our customer best solutions and best products carrying a lifetime warranty.
I consider apart because I’m an architect doing lighting, of course, I understand much more what the architects and landscapers want for their project than people who don’t have this expertise.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our plan is to expand our company services for to do an interior lighting design projects. We already started it we are doing 2 lighting projects for houses, but our goal is to do this kind of project for hospitality and restaurants.
