Today we’d like to introduce you to Grant Kellogg.
Grant travels the world with his ukulele, sharing epic cacao ceremonies everywhere he lands. “From Minnesota to the World”. At age 21, Grant was bootstrapping his mobile app startup in Silicon Valley. He attended Tim Draper’s “Draper University” entrepreneurship program that leads him into seeking his purpose and being a mission-driven creative. Grant is a passionate yogi and surfer. During business development time, he was in a surfing accident where he saved his friend’s life, which left him searching for answers and he took off to Europe to wander and find himself through the world.
After a three month expedition around Europe, Grant had the choice to either fly back to America or keep the adventure going. He chose Bali. Once I arrived in Bali, I found cacao. I found an ecstatic dance. I found community. And lots of delicious vegan food!
My experiences in Bali opened my heart and showed me what I wanted to do, which was shared to epic cacao ceremonies all around the world. I knew that I had to bring these gifts back to the states eventually and I chose Miami. I moved to Miami in 2018 and started sharing small intimate ceremonies. I would rent Air B n B’s or do that out of my small home.
Eventually, the ceremonies started growing and I hosted them at beautiful spaces such as “Goldish” at the Faena Bazaar. Today, I have had the honor of sharing cacao ceremonies at an incredible music festival such as Envision, retreat centers in the Philippines (Soul Sierra) and Jonah Kest’s yoga teacher training in Thailand + more! He now resides in Miami Beach, where he is sharing cacao ceremonies, matcha ceremonies and astrology readings.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I had three near-death life experiences that awakened me.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I host epic cacao ceremonies, ecstatic dance and conscious gatherings. I share shamanic astrology readings + intuitive bodywork. I teach others how to host cacao ceremonies in teacher trainings and retreats.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Going to Hawaii with my entire family.
