Today we’d like to introduce you to Liel Lankri.
Liel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Jewelry has been in our blood for generations, Lankri’s story begins with our grandfather when at the age of 18, began crafting and designing jewelry pieces in the heart of Tel Aviv, Israel. Many years later, our father also took on the craft of jewelry. When we were young, our family decided to move to the United States to start a new life.
Soon after in 1999, our father founded Lankri’s in Miami. It began with only fine jewelry that was designed and handcrafted by our father. Since his passing, we have decided to reinvent the company, not only offering fine jewelry but also fashion jewelry that is affordable and unique. We hope over the next years to continue to expand and grow and offer timeless elegance and our own custom pieces in the industry.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As a small business, there have been many bumps along the road. We only reestablished Lankri’s officially a year ago after a 10-year hiatus, so we are continuously learning how to grow and offer our clients something unique. But without challenges, the success wouldn’t be as sweet. We face our struggles with heads held high and one of our favorite quotes to live by is to never ever give up.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Lankri’s story. Tell us more about the business.
Lankri’s endeavors to be the one-stop-shop for everyone’s jewelry needs – men and women. We always noticed a lack of places for women AND men to shop for jewelry; usually, they cater to one but not the other. Our goal is to have a jewelry brand that is for both. We also want to offer a sort of elegance to our pieces and as we continue to grow we want to begin incorporating and designing more of our own collections to set us apart.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
We honestly do not believe in luck, but rather believe in paving our own destiny. As Lankri’s is continuously growing, we try and envision and bring to life what we want to see in the brand.
