Meet Ximena Cordoba

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ximena Cordoba.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ximena. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born and raised in Colombia. It all started when a friend of mine asked me to go to an audition for a reality show called Protagonistas de Novela. I decided to audition, and I ended up winning the show. Fast forward a few years, I decided to come to the United States to see what opportunities would come up for me. I did a few castings as an Actress and Model, studied Journalism, and ended up working for one of the biggest television networks, Univision.

I first worked as a TV Host on Tu Desayuno Alegre, and then got a job as a TV Host/Weather Anchor for Despierta America for a few years, which was a huge blessing for me. My weather song caught so many people’s attention! Fast forward a few years, I went to work on El Gordo y La Flaca, was the protagonist for the Novela “En Tierras Salvajes”, and now I Co-Host my very own show called “Mas Noche”, its a Saturday night show that the people love, you’ll definitely laugh and have a good time watching it. I’ve also had the opportunity to be a brand ambassador for Rooms To Go, Fajate Colombia, and other incredible brands.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I will definitely be the first to say that it was not a smooth road. I remember working once on a set and talking about how much I wanted to work as a TV Host in the U.S because it was a huge passion of mine. Someone then told me that I was just a girl from a small town in Colombia, I wouldn’t be able to make it, but here I am today doing what I love! There were so many obstacles and struggles along the way throughout these past years, but I couldn’t be anymore happier with where I am today, the hard work definitely paid off. All of our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am known for being a TV Host, Actress, and Model. I would definitely say that my fun personality, dedication and being honest about everything is what sets me apart.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I wouldn’t really call it luck, I would say that my hard work and God definitely played a huge role in where I am today with my work and my life.
