Today we’d like to introduce you to Devin Fuller.
Devin, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It’s really interesting how I started, it was about six years ago in 2014 to be exact. I was at a business convention and I saw an associate at the time with a camera and it caught my interest. So a few months later I bought a camera from K-Mart and my photography journey started from there. When I first got the camera, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with it, but I had a friend who had their own non- profit and she needed some photos so she asked me to take some for her and now we are here.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, I can’t say it been a smooth road because whenever you are entering into something new challenges continue to come up because you have never experienced it before. So I am continuously trying be a student of the game. Because I don’t know everything and there are areas in my photography that I am always trying to improve on, whether it be the business side of photography or just the art of photography. One example of a struggle along the way is just trying to perfect the business side of photography whether it be in marketing, how to make my prices or just the legal side of it. It’s a lot to take in, especially if you have no one to teach you. I thank God for the teachers he has placed in my life along this road because, without certain teaching, I might have been lost on how to price photoshoots or how to know whether an image is a good one or not. These things come from being taught, letting time take its course, and practicing in the field of photography and these principles just don’t happen overnight.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a portrait photographer. My goal in my photography is to impact through my images so that anyone who follows the campaigns I have done and will do, will be impacted through the stories so that they can become a better them. At the moment, I am most proud of the response I get from people when they see and hear me talk about my current project “Who am I” which is project about identity the goal in the project is to provoke thought and push people into who they are. I feel like it has made people really self evaluate who they are and question who they want to become. What sets me apart from others is my goal to changes people’s lives. I want people to see growth in all areas of their life and want my work to help them make that real in their life.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The qualities I feel is most important to my success is my willingness to help people and the fact that I am doing things to help better the people as well as my self.

- 300$ 2 hours 30min, 2 locations, 3 outfits, 20 edits
- 50$ deposit; Extra edits is 10$ per photo
