Today we’d like to introduce you to Spliffy Doe.
Spliffy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Unlike Everyone Else, Music was Never Spliffy’s Dream but little did he know, he’d fall in love with the sound of his vocals playing back thru the speakers. Athlete turned Rapper has a unique way of how he found music. After a Football injury in High school leading to Foot Surgery and a wheelchair in eight months, he hung up the football dreams of an NFL player and Music became his love. After using poetry as an outlet, it eventually turned into lyrics and lead me to a studio, says artist Spliffy.
Recording my first song In Fall of 2008, my senior year is when I decided music was what I’d pursue. I had the lyrics, the sauces and I was just dope with my words says artist Spliffy. After a senior year of high school, I met local artist Young Breed who at the time was newly signed to Maybach Music & Rick Ross Triple C’s and gave me the opportunity to open up for the group at a local show. That’s when I decided to pursue a career. It wasn’t until late 2012 early 2013 when artist Spliffy got professional and went fall force into pursuing a career in music.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been constant trials and tribulations that I face pursuing my career. Some of my biggest and toughest challenges have been finding myself as an artist, knowing my lane and feeding my core audience, also overcoming myself as well. But with a great team and support system, I’ve been able to maintain and stay focus thru out my hard ships. As an artist, it’s a consistent hustle. Investing in your self, your brand and if your not build solid some or even most usual quit before they reach their goal so in this field, you gotta want it cause nothing happens overnight and you get what you hustle for.
My toughest challenge has been being a SINGLE FATHER. Raising a six yr old all while pursuing music is challenging. Spending time and going out on daddy-daughter dates. Making sure she’s performing in school and being raised properly is a real-life job. From traveling doing shows to making it home before bed. It’s tough but my father is a real solid OG who is always a helping hand when needed.

Some may agree that bad luck and good luck exist; however, I am a firm believer that you create your own luck. We don’t chance ourselves with luck or hope. We just worked hard and exhausted all resources to ensure success.
