Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Torres.
Jessica, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My story began as little as 13 I can remember being a pre-teen and my dad buying me teen vogue magazines. It was something about the hair and style of everything that always drew my attention. Growing up I realized I was always fascinated with hair and how it can be styled. I looked at it as an art. My mother later pushed me to finish cosmetology school and finish, after struggling through college obtaining my degree. Hair was all I wanted to do. In class was to busy on social media looking up the latest trends rather than paying attention to my professor. I’m going on two strong years pushing to make this my life long career. I hope to own a shop and to have my own brand one day. Sky’s the limit!

So many obstacles! But putting God first, I made it through and always will!
Please tell us about your business.
I specialize in bridal hair! Getting my ladies glam for there special day as well as mobile braid bars for local events and also install tape in extensions. I’m proud that I remain me and true to my craft, never duplicate anyone’s work and I’m always humbled and determined.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being humble. In Miami, you can come across successful people and mingling with these people after to do their hair can be quite the experience! But remain humble and kind.
