Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebeka Miranda.
Rebeka, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My story started about two years ago when a friend suggested that I opened my own business since I have learned a lot about the remodeling/construction world. I was hesitant in the beginning and thought to myself: “how am I opening my own company and handling everything? Can I do it?”. I have a Public Relations bachelor degree with an MBA in Environmental Management, construction never crossed my mind, but I took the shot and opened B&H Pro Solutions in 2018.
I had a partner in the beginning who helped me but he wasn’t a fan of the whole home remodeling business and everything that comes with it, so after a little while he left. In its first year in business, I had an average of 2 1/2 projects completed per month that ranged from roofs to complete bathroom remodels. I pay attention to every detail when I walk into a room that is being skim coated I know exactly where to look for imperfections. I am very pick with the work I deliver to my clients and quality is the first one. I always keep my clients updated with the whole process so they are not lost in the middle of their renovation. I work hand in hand with them to meet their expectations.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So far it has been a pretty smooth road. Some of the struggles I had in the beginning were to find good workers, which is tough here in South Florida, but now I have a good team around me. I deal with a lot of insurance claims, and in that case clients aren’t looking to renovate homes. Usually a tragedy has happened and when I come in they are stressed out with the whole insurance process. I try my best to calm them down and ensure them that their home will be beautiful again in no time. I get excited with them so they have something to look forward.
Please tell us about B&H Pro Solutions.
B&H Pro Solutions provides complete home remodel – roof, kitchen, bathroom, flooring, paint. I am most specialized in roofing and bathrooms, those two excite me. I can literally walk into a bathroom and picture it all completed. I don’t nickel and dime when it comes to material, I get the best ones and if something better will cost me $5 more and I know it will make the difference I don’t hesitate to buy it.
I am very proud of the quality of my work, as I said previously I am very picky when it comes to remodeling a home and I imagine as if it was my own home being done. I think what sets me apart from others is that I’m not in this business to make money and forget about my clients. If they are happy I am happy and that’s the most important thing to me in the end. When they get confused with others’ opinions I always tell them “If you love the colors and bathroom tiles you chose that’s all that matters because this is your home and you have to be happy in here”. I also like to keep in touch with them even after the project is completed.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from my childhood is playing with my dolls with my sister and neighbor. Those were good times and things were different way back then.
