Meet Gevorg Shahbazyan of Starlife Group in Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gevorg Shahbazyan.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Gevorg. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After many travels across the globe changing schools, countries, and homes, I ended up living in South Florida, Miami. I love Miami and I believe we live in the best city in the world. I lived as an immigrant and had to learn the language, culture since 15 and make new friends.

After a few years, I earned a Master’s degree in my early twenties and I thought I’d get closer to my then dream job of becoming a Diplomat. I was rejected from more than 30 jobs, from the private sector, government, UN, non-profit and other jobs.

I always believed in my ability to succeed, thus I never gave up. People’s words can have a big impact on other’s lives and a lot of people told me I won’t succeed, some friends even laughed at me. Of course, life showed that I did not succeed because of the people around me. I started improving my circle of friends, and I wanted to learn from others as much as I could.

Eventually, I decided to open up my own company, in fact, two of them. First, I became Real Estate Broker Associate while the second company that I created became knows as The Starlife Group, that is a Real Estate Investment, Development, and Management company that helps investors develop multi-family projects, condos, single-family homes and other commercial properties such as office/medical income-producing buildings, plazas, hotels both domestic and international. Some companies that I tried to work for years ago, became my partners today. No matter what, always believe that what you’re trying to reach is possible, be ambitious.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Every obstacle we come across during our day, at work, in relationships, friendships and life allows us to improve our life. We have to struggle to live better, we have to stay hungry to appreciate a well-cooked meal, we have to feel cold to appreciate Florida weather. I always smiled at my struggles because I knew they are temporary and I need them to improve and strengthen myself. I looked at them as opportunities.

It hasn’t been a smooth ride, not at all. I’d say the complete opposite, there are always challenges, sleepless nights, limitations, and struggles that I faced but as a businessman, I had to take care of them as soon as possible. When I would have an extremely hectic schedule or a day filled with many problems, struggles I would always remember to stop for a moment and appreciate these struggles and I’d smile and tell myself that “nothing will stop me, I must succeed”, have my cup of coffee and get back crushing them like a boss. I wish I could have a glass of wine as much as I am having coffee, but then I remember that I am a professional.

Our struggles in life develop our strengths and help us discover ourselves. Without struggles, we never grow as a person or a business and never get stronger, so we need to tackle challenges on our own and not to rely on others to help us. This is the secret why so many of my clients trust us and continue working with us. They believe in us and the future.

Please tell us about Starlife Group – what should we know?
As mentioned before, I operate two businesses. First, I am a licensed Real Estate Broker Associate and Advisor at REMAX PREMIUM HOMES. I am also the founder and CEO of THE STARLIFE GROUP a Real Estate Development, Investment, and Project Management company.

I am a trilingual real estate advisor with a Master’s degree in Global Affairs from Florida International University, and I am focusing on new development, international sales, pre-construction investments, commercial, hotels, resorts, residential and luxury high-end properties.

With a wealth of creative knowledge and experience in real estate, residential & commercial investment, negotiation and contacts I efficiently, professionally and with individual unwavering attention deliver exceptional service, providing expert guidance to every client.

I have built my professional reputation through dedication, passion, and commitment to personalized client service that continuously exceeds the client’s expectations. My professional, yet personable charming character provides the ideal opportunity to build and maintain long-lasting friendships, which explains my continues business through repeat clients and referrals.
