Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Gaita.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Sam. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I studied finance and worked as investment advisor at a major Wall Street Firm out of college to hone my investment skills before entering into the real estate industry about 20 years ago. I grew up in the real estate industry, coming from a long line of real estate developers and investors. You can say it’s in my blood and the passion runs deep. Another passion of mine has always been travel, which I acquired at an early age. Being known for my keen eye with attention to the smallest details in creating one-of-a-kind experiences during my travels resulted in me becoming the unofficial go-to travel advisor for all my friends and family. As I’ve continued to evolve and become interested in other aspects of the real estate industry, I expanded into property management. Working with top fund managers, scions of industry and high net worth families, many of whom also own unique vacation properties that were under-utilized and sitting vacant nearly all year, sparked the idea that brought Gaita Luxury to life. I found my true calling, which combines all my skills, experience and passion. I’m able to generate income for my clients who own the homes, create custom tailored vacations that are individualized for each guest to build memories to last a lifetime, and help children in need through Travel for a Cause. A portion of each nightly stay at every property is donated to help a child in need.
Homes are entered into the Gaita Luxury Collection by invitation only. Owners of fine vacation residences that would like to have their property included in our collection can request an invitation for consideration. We will then do our inspection and determine eligibility.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been an enjoyable road, combining all my passions together. But yes, challenges presented themselves, particularly with regards to my admitted perfectionism. Each detail had to meet my strict standards from the pillows, robes, pens, umbrellas, toiletries and so on to the extensive training of our Gaita Travel Butlers, which delayed the launch over a year. In the end, all of the extra attention to detail was worth it. I’m so proud of what we accomplished and grateful that our guests and member of the Gaita luxury’s Owner Circle have been so pleased.

We are proud to introduce the Gaita Travel Butler®. -A concept created by visionary Sam Gaita-. The Gaita Travel Butler® is a combination of personal assistant, concierge and butler with one goal: to create a custom tailored one-of-a-kind experience for each guest. The butler contacts the guest immediately after booking and gives them as much or as little assistance as the guest desires. The butler will prepare transportation including having their favorite exotic car waiting in the driveway or a helicopter at the airport to stocking the home with their favorite goodies as well as crafting distinctive private dining experiences by celebrity chefs, exclusive backstage experiences at the stock exchange, concerts, Fashion week, Art Basel, yacht excursions and everything else the guest desires.
Only after our rigorous 200 point inspection will the property be included into the Gaita Luxury collection of Fine Vacation Residences and the owner be admitted into the Gaita Luxury Owner’s Circle. Members of the Gaita luxury Owners Circle receive enumerable benefits including exclusive events and priority access with special pricing on stays within our collection.
Once a vacation residence is included into the collection we provide a suite of exclusive enhancements and classify each property, according to the patented Gaita Luxury Diamond Classification system. -Purple, Black, Yellow and Green Diamonds- which is based on the architectural design and location of the property-.
The Purple Diamond is an extremely rare and unique property. An example would be our Sky View Penthouse in Manhattan. One of only a handful of private rooftop pool residences in the city. Las Olas Isles Manor an opulent residence on the water in the Exclusive Las Olas Isles neighborhood is an example of a Black Diamond. Our Elegant Hollywood Beach Home offering first class accommodations on a dry lot is an example of a Yellow diamond and a LEED certified, low carbon footprint residence is our Green Diamond.
The core of Gaita Luxury is the commitment of giving more to our guests, our resort home owners, our employees, and the world by helping children in need, one trip at a time. So we are especially proud of Travel For A Cause. A portion of each nightly room charge goes to help a child a need.
How do you, personally define success? What’s your criteria, the markers you’re looking out for?
Having a positive impact on people’s lives is how I define success. By creating one-of-a-kind travel experiences that result in memories that last a lifetime, ensuring that we are taking exquisite care of the Gaita Luxury Owner Circle members and their properties, and most importantly improving the life of a children in need from each vacation booked is how I define my success.
When I receive an email or a call from a guest telling me about the unforgettable moments from their vacation that we created and I know the vacation also helped a child receive needed medical care is when I feel successful.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Traveling with my family has always been a great memory from childhood. I live on the ocean because it reminds me of our family vacations at the beach.
