Today we’d like to introduce you to Johanna Salazar.
Johanna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My mind and heart are always a couple of steps ahead with a macro view. It’s funny because my husband needs an extra minute to arrive to my train of thought. It’s just like a scene in a movie where there’s a long awkward pause before the protagonist realizes something.
A big part of what I do is who I am. I am my own brand. That’s because I’m there for you as a Digital Business Strategist and Marketing Coach. As a person, a mentor, and a professional, I hold your hand through the process of finding the possibilities and opportunities that you don’t realize yet exist.
My experience, skills, contacts, personality, tons of heart, and genuinely wanting to help others achieve their goals is what motivated me to create Joiness. I want to help entrepreneurs who have the vision of making a bigger impact in the world.
I’m the happiest when I connect with people: listening, understanding their needs, obstacles and frustrations, and guiding them through the process of creating their digital presence. I help find ways to make sense of things, discover new strategies, identify processes and create evolved blueprints that will truly change my client’s lives.
I’m more than a digital marketing manager. I understand what business owners really crave is having an expert which they can consult, somebody who can help develop a strategy for them, and at the same time to navigate this new connected world. They want to learn about tools, platforms, blueprint, and how to organize their business. They want someone who listens, who is the opposite of an agency, who understands the value of time but doesn’t rush the process, someone who they can trust.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
After giving up my marketing executive corporate work of more than nine years I made the scary decision to become an entrepreneur.
I knew I had a lot of knowledge and developed great strategies with the years of experience in media that could bring to small businesses to drive grow. But, as any process, the hamster wheel of entrepreneurship can be completely overwhelming.
I realized that there had to be a better way.
I dedicated myself to study companies that are 100% digital, solopreneurs who bring unimaginable income to their business. What I discovered was the one common trend among successful solopreneurs was that they did it by combining intimacy, truth, connection, and tons of high-value content.
The truth about entrepreneurship is change, if you embrace this wholeheartedly with a clear vision you will prevail.
So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Joiness story. Tell us more about the business.
At Joiness we help Hispanic experts position themselves digitally as difference makers in the community so that they have more income, more impact, and freedom to drive growth for their business. Unlike others that focus on digital marketing only, I build a clear influential positioning, compelling content, and powerful delivery.
I created Joiness because with years of experience helping Fortune 500 companies find their way in the digital marketing world, and through the process of building my business, of getting closer to people and their aspirations, I found my purpose.
I am known to help position leaders in their industry by transforming their business digitally, but also, by understanding their brand, the opportunities, so they can feel happier and better about where their business stands.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I truly believe the universe is thoroughly looking out for you, patiently guiding you to make the best decisions.
I believe we are all born with luck. The issue arises when we get in the way for whatever reason (childhood, education, personality) and we start losing connection with universal intelligence.
So, yes, I believe every day I am the luckiest person alive. This conviction, in turn, births love, gratitude, and faith all critical ingredients for abundance and “luck.”
