Meet Tiffany Sanchez of Theophania Films

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Sanchez.

Tiffany, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Miami, FL. My parents are both Cuban, but I grew up with a single mom, who told me I could do anything and be anyone I wanted in this life. I always had a passion for the arts, growing up I would always be painting, crafting, taking pictures, dancing, and singing. (even though I wasn’t very good) My mother always made sure I was doing something creative and artistic with my time.

I never knew exactly what I wanted to do when I grew up but I always know I wanted to do something that brought people joy and would leave an impression on them for a lifetime. When I started school at Miami International University of Art and Design, I decided I wanted to be a special effects artist, doing CGI and making movies with big explosions… haha then I realized I couldn’t sit at a computer to make a movie. Some of the best movies are made on sets, at the moment, with a team of people working behind it to make it all happen. This was when I knew I wanted to be a filmmaker, I wanted to be in the moment of making that scene or entire movie happen. I now have my Bachelor’s degree in film making and video production and decided to move to Los Angeles, California where I am working on numerous productions, podcast shows, music videos, commercials, etc. I can see myself making films and all kinds of visual content for the rest of my life. I can say that I’m passionate about my career and I truly love creating magic.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t think anything is ever a smooth road or path to get somewhere. I struggled with deciding what I wanted to be and do in my life. I had to give up certain opportunities in order to finish school and get my degree, before deciding anything else. I had to give up the life I knew in Miami, my family, friends, and even pets, in order to move to Los Angeles and make more opportunities for myself to have a better life.

Please tell us about your work.
I specialize in videography and editing, for all kinds of video content, from short films, commercials, music videos, social media content, live event footage, interviews and behind the scenes. What I’m most proud of is the short films I have worked on, they are all really great and creative works. We got so many different people to collaborate and help with these projects. They have been entered into film festivals and some have won awards.

What sets me apart from other companies, is that I’m one on one with all my clients, I always try and meet with them before shooting anything or even have a phone interview to map out a plan of what is needed to make this possible.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing, I would do it all over again!!
