Today we’d like to introduce you to Suria Pivaral.
Suria, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
When I was a little girl, I always saw my mother out in the garden. She passed at a young age. My mother was 44 and I was 22. As I got older and had kids, I began decorating parties with flowers and bringing back all those memories. I give thanks for my two kids who have inspired and motivated me to use and explore this talent. My kids are my life and have supported me every step of the way.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I love to create stories with flowers. Flowers make people happy and help them remember the WOW moments in life. I am an event designer and lose to see the reaction of people when they see my creations. I let my art do the talking. I create floral arrangements that demonstrate happiness, love and life. My biggest inspirations are my kids, my family and life itself.
What would you recommend to an artist new to the city, or to art, in terms of meeting and connecting with other artists and creatives?
First, as artists we have to accept that we have a very special talent. Not everyone can understand our artistic perspective and what we need to make it happen. Music is my sidekick. I love going to local markets, museums and fairs. This is the best place to meet different people and discover the talents they have to offer. I also love to travel to different locations to gain inspiration. Nature is my biggest muse.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
You can find me on Instagram and Facebook as well as local Bazaars and other events in South Florida.
