Check out Luis Padilla, Giuseppe Foresti, Anthony Brochero, and Pierre Posso

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis Padilla, Giuseppe Foresti , Anthony Brochero, and Pierre Posso.

We’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
We can’t even begin to tell our story without mentioning our best friend, Ricardo Carhuapoma. If it weren’t for Rico & Anthony’s hard work and vision, Galaxy Studios wouldn’t even exist. Five years ago Rico and Anthony started Galaxy studios with the vision of creating a safe haven for creatives to create. Unfortunately, on September 15th, 2018, our best friend Rico passed away, thats the day that everything changed for the four of us. It’s important to note that prior to Rico passing The four current owners of Galaxy studios had never really hung out together we all knew Rico as a best friend, but for all intents and purposes, we knew him separately. Regardless of this, after our best friend passed, we immediately felt drawn to a higher purpose. The night of Rico’s funeral, we met at the studio and quietly began organizing and cleaning up. The studio had been closed for a couple of months prior, and there was a lot of work to do, but we were more than willing to put in the work without a second thought. It was therapeutic for us in a way, coming together and rebuilding something that was a huge part of our best friend. It was as if he was still with us, his energy still reverberating through the walls of the studio as if he was telling us that everything would be ok as long as we stayed focus & built together. Fast forward seven months, and we’re still building together, with the same energy and focus that we felt the day that we first started. We often like to say that we’re four parts of the same brain & while we may not always agree with each other, we’re always on the same frequency. Vibes are everything, and we know our brother’s energy is still with us, so everything we do is to make him proud. Long Live Rico.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
The driving concept behind Galaxy studios is to be a safe space for all kinds of creatives and artists to create. There is no judgment at Galaxy Studios; we encourage all kinds of ideas. As a team, we’re somewhat an embodiment of this concept. Every owner of the studio has their own individual skill, and we combine those skills to serve the studio as a whole. Pierre (@SPLFKD) has been rapping since the age of sixteen; he was the first rapper in our UNIT9INE collective. Anthony (@305vibes), Luis (@Loui.v_) and Giuseppe (@wopmangu) are all audio engineers and music producers. The most interesting part is that we all have hobbies outside of music that help to inspire all of our art. Pierre is an incredible illustrator. Anthony enjoys painting. Luis is an expert at chess, and Giuseppe does graphic design and animation. We want people to understand that they should be open to expressing their creativity, no matter what shape it takes. Creativity can take many forms, and we like to encourage people to express their creativity in any way possible because art inspires art. A painting may inspire a musician to make a track that inspires a filmmaker; in other words, the best inspiration for an artist may just be another artist, regardless of medium.

What do you think it takes to be successful as an artist?
In our opinion, success means being able to provide opportunities for others through our craft. The moment we’re able to feed our families and our friends’ families, that’s when we’ll feel we’ve reached our next level of success. The most important thing is to understand that success doesn’t necessarily mean having riches or being connected with everyone in the industry. If you’re always climbing to reach that “ultimate” success, you’ll be climbing all your life, and you’ll miss all the little wins along the way. Success can be as simple as motivating your friends to do something productive. One person’s hustle can inspire another person’s hustle, and when you inspire your friends to hustle for a better future, that’s the best kind of success. We just want everyone to understand the importance of manifestation. What you speak into this world has huge impacts on your life, so always manifest positivity. Envision your ideal self and work every day to bring that to reality. Work hard. Be kind. Stay humble.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
