Meet Tamara Feola of No. 9 Vintage Mobile Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Feola.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tamara. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
When I first saw a Piaggio Ape, I thought, oh my goodness, how spectacular is that?

I’m from New Orleans, so I really love everything vintage, charming and with history. My little Ape was imported from Italy, where she was used to maneuvering small streets to make deliveries. I brought her to the US and spent a few months designing her to my exact specifications. I have a little bit of a design background, so it was a lot of fun!

Having worked as an event planner for local non-profits and also managing restaurants, I find great joy in bringing people together for good times and celebrations.

I’m excited to be on this new adventure, with new people, helping them celebrate the best moments of their life.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I jumped head first into this project and didn’t think too much on logistics, specifically towing her around.
There were some issues at the beginning of safely transporting her as she wanted to pop a wheelie every time I put her on the trailer! Thankfully, I had the support of friends and some extra funding to finally have my trailer built out where this no longer happens. It’s demanding physically, but I’m happy to say I can now load her on and off the trailer and tow the trailer around all alone!

No. 9 Vintage Mobile Bar – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
No 9 Vintage Mobile Bar is a charming bar on wheels that brings something special and unique to any event. We have been privileged to serve our clients at weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, and corporate launch parties. We not only arrive with the cutest portable bar but also provide exceptional service with TIPS certified bartenders.

There is not another mobile bar in the world like ours and we are the only Piaggio Ape in the United States that has a built-in photo booth! I find great joy in watching the smiles and enthusiasm when the guests are served a drink from a cute little bar and then get to jump into the photo booth too.

I’m very proud to have accomplished what I set out to do, which is to bring the best of times to people’s celebrations… their most important days. I get to be a part of that! It’s so nice to witness love and laughter as my job.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success by making sure that everything goes exactly as planned for my customers. I feel I have achieved my goals if I know that I have given great service and provided what my customers wished for at their event.

It’s very satisfying to hear people talk about my bar in a personal way. Saying how much they love it and tell how they’ve seen it here and there.

I’m very close to being fully booked with Donatella, which has me dreaming to start creating my vision for a second bar!
