105Jey, 105Chef, 105danny, and Mykey Lo from Miami, Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to 105Jey, 105Chef, 105danny, and Mykey Lo.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Justin, Danny, Jeyson, and Mykhal. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
105 consists of 105chef, 105jey, and 105danny, all raised in Miami, Florida going to high school in Doral, Florida. Me (Chef), Danny (HD), Jeyson (Jey), and Mykey all first collaborated in March of 2017. Mykey, 20 years old at the time had just set up shop in Miami, Florida after spending his whole life in West Patterson, New Jersey. At that time, we had no idea how close we would all get and what the future held for us. All we were focused on was that 4-hour session we all had booked that night. 105 and Mykey would spend lots of time together during those early stages. Which created a bond stronger than anything the group had ever experienced. The first song we had ever recorded together was Switchblade off our debut project “The 105 Tape” which released on 1/05 of 2019.

By the start of 2019, 105 and Mykey Lo has released over five projects combined with much more ready for release. In June of 2018, the group had collaborated with Miami-based Video Director Benny Flash on a Single called “Drugs do” which amounted for over 33 thousand views on YouTube. After the release of their first single, the group was heard across Florida. 105 and Mykey Lo were making it clear that they wanted to be heard all across South Florida. Their most recent release of The 105 Tape has already amounted for over 15 thousand plays on Spotify alone. With Drugs do and LOL being the crowd favorites. 105 and Mykey Lo have recently released a wavy new visual “LOL” directed by Benny Flash featuring King Rebel which has earned a respectable 12 thousand plays on YouTube, thus far. The group is in the works of releasing their individual projects all produced by their engineer Mykey Lo. Lots to be excited for this year with 105chefs highly anticipated Debut album with 105danny and 105jeys sophomore releases.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road hasn’t been easy. With Both Jey and Danny studying in Tallahassee. The group has to work around not being able to work with each other for more than half the year. Although 105 does work with a couple of other producers, Mykey Lo has always been the one behind the sound of everything. Multiple times we have had to move studios from Devon Aire, to Doral, all the way down to Little Havana. No matter where Mykey Lo went 105 was right behind helping. During the Fall the studio had to be moved to Tallahassee, Florida Where most of the 105 tapes were recorded, but with such distance between all of us it was hard to keep working at such a steady pace and although we had a great distance between us we always found a way to all get together and work. Sometimes, work for three days straight. A rollercoaster ride most definitely

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the 105 story. Tell us more about it.
We, as a team, are all very proud of the work we put in. Mykey is a full-time producer and makes his living producing and engineering other artists in Miami. Jey and Danny both are studying trying to graduate from Florida State. And chef used to work as a Sous Chef at a restaurant in Miami Florida called Earls Kitchen (where he earned his name). Although that called for tremendous amounts of work he made time for his dream always. What makes us proud is our unity 105. The reason we chose 105 was that we were all together with us three always on the same page and we wanted the world to know that. Although we are the only three official members they’re multiple artists that we are so close with we consider 105 as well like, Chris Jaruegi, Neimans, Oddemmitt, King Rebel, And Chenzo. We’re all a family and that’s what we’re most proud of.

Is there a specific memory from when you were younger that you really miss?
Chefs were playing tackle football.
Mykey’s was skateboarding.
Jeys was playing basketball.
Danny’s was playing with his little sister at the airport.
