Today we’d like to introduce you to WJ Daggins.
Thanks for sharing your story with us WJ Daggins. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, I have lived my life learning how and why to love people just for who they are. I’m 31 and married to my beautiful wife Debra Daggins. Father of seven and love them to pieces. Our oldest are 11-year-old twins and youngest 1-month-old daughter.
I am a life coach and the author of a self-help book named The Complicated Simplicity. This book and my profession was derived from experiences of pain, but to add lessons that were learned from those same experiences. For me, a majority of the lessons depended on how I could effectively recognize how much I had to do with what I was going through and my downfalls. The awareness, recognition and realignment was imperative to my future successes both personally and professionally. Through recognizing how simple these complicated situations were and what I had to “simply do” to fix them, I noticed that there are many others that go through these very things. This realization along with my love for helping others aligned me to pursue the profession of Life Coaching. I also recognized that many people are judged harshly, turned away and denied a fair opportunity to be helped mostly because they are misunderstood. I work with teens and adults, individuals and groups. There are effective ways of helping people without becoming judgmental or enablers. Some parents would call this a type of teaching “tough love” but with my coaching meathod I consider this the “wake up” stage. Who better to tell you about yourself than yourself. The healthiest thing you can do is to see yourself and this is what I do best as a Coach. Once this is done we can proceed to build and help you to become the best version of you!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Well, I have been married before and that marriage lasted for 9 months. It was hell on earth, to say the least. From abusive narcissistic behavior to non-commitment. High expectations and low investments. I was able to learn how and why the dating stage is important. It’s not only about taking your time but being effective in your dating processes. Vetting and asking the right questions. Not ignoring the red flags and blowing through the red lights!
Another one of my struggles was during my original pursuit of doing business at the age of 17-18, by “chasing money” the wrong way. Doing bad business to make quick money. Cutting corners but I quickly realized the longevity of doing bad business. I realized that if I was going to do business at all at least do good Business!
Please tell us about Here To Inspire Inc.
My company name is Here To Inspire Inc, Life Coaching. I named it that because I always aim to inspire only, without judgment to a person’s character. I have also learned how to cut all the fluff, not to waste time and get straight to the cause and effects of situations. I love coaching because I help people find solid life-changing solutions whereas they will never be the same. Two things I know you can’t take for people, that’s lessons and knowledge. When I help people wake up, it’s usually irreversible.
Coaching is the teaching of self-assessment with the assistance of outside and non-bias source, the awakening of self, the establishment of life goals and accountability from a trusted and sound source to ensure your follow though of all things considered
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would literally be more attentive to all the details and effects of my choices in my childhood. As stated, I’ve recognized how my choices both good and bad, got me into situations that will never change. Although we all are taught to make lemons into lemonade, we still had chances to do better with every opportunity.
