Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Choice Walther.
Brittney, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a wife, mother of four, fashion enthusiast, and a lover of all things pink! I am a girly girl and love rooting for and supporting fellow women entrepreneurs and creatives! I have loved fashion since I was a little girl. I attended fashion school in San Diego, California with hopes to one day work for the Barbie team at Mattel. I didn’t make it to Mattel but I was able to work fashion shows for some big names – Neiman Marcus, Rachel Zoe, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and several charities. At one point, I was a boutique owner which was also a big dream and huge accomplishment but my biggest blessing has been my family. I love being a mom and I have been able to embrace my love for fashion through them. We all enjoy our matching outfits and “themed” days out as a family.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth having comes easy. I think staying organized and continuing to put passion and purpose behind what I feel like I am great at is what keeps me going. I really enjoy curating my own trends and outfits that are special and exclusive to my style and personality. I never lose sight of that. I think we all strive to be different and be ourselves but I think that has gotten harder in today’s world because of social media. Society still has a way of making us feel like we need to “fit in.” Know this, you already have what it takes. You don’t need lip fillers, a Gucci belt, or millions of followers to be great. You already are. Give the world what they’re missing. We see the same thing enough. Don’t ever doubt yourself, your abilities, or your talent.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Right now, you can call me an Insta-blogger. Kind of just doing my thing on Instagram, it has been a great stress-free creative outlet for me. I am a mom of four and extremely busy so easy peasy is the name of the game for me. I do have plans to create a blog in the near future and possibly a YouTube channel. On my gram, you can find outfit inspo, home decor, and mom tips. I’m just an everyday girl who loves being creative and I love inspiring others to be their best self.
What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
BE YOURSELF, everyone else is taken. Be bold and confident in who you are. Show off your talents and never be afraid to take the leap, I think the easiest thing we can do is blend in with the crowd. Taking risks and letting our talents light this world on fire – it’s scary. It goes against the grain but it’s WORTH IT. Trust your gut and stay true to who you are and what you stand for.
