Today we’d like to introduce you to Banna Fakhoury.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Banna. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a Miami Native and have been working since I was 14 years old. I started off as a cashier at Publix, worked in the restaurant industry after, proceeded to office positions, next I had a marketing internship while studying at Florida International University and then finally was introduced to Real Estate in 2013.
Friends at the time had just opened an investment firm, so I began my real estate career handling acquisitions; finding investment properties, working with distressed sellers and investors. After 2.5 years, I joined a commercial brokerage in Wynwood, a family owned company, with large market share in the area. Then, I was offered an amazing opportunity at my current company as a Sales Director for a Real Estate Management Agency where I have now been for over two years.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road! Courage, persistence, dedication, faith, and having a THICK skin has been incredibly important throughout my career – especially in the first two years. Having discernment, being cautious and seeing where to place your time has been the key to success in my business and in my life. Where do you see the highest return on your investment? From time and energy to marketing tactics, to expenses, everything should be evaluated on a weekly/monthly basis.
For newcomers, I recommend joining a top producer, team, or veteran in the industry that can assist, train and provide leads. Learning from the pros will boost your business in a much shorter time.
In addition, establishing SYSTEMS at the beginning of your career, organizing your contacts and always building your database will aid in your success for years to come.
I am also extremely grateful for the mentors I have in my life. Whenever I have a business decision to make, confused about my next step or just need some clarity, it is very comforting to be able to reach out to someone that has achieved the things I would like to achieve.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Banna Fakhoury – what should we know?
I was born in Pomona, California. Raised in Miami since a very young age, my mother is Ecuadorian (Si, yo hablo Espanol) and my father is Jordanian. Being a Leo, I have always been a pro-active, energetic, individual (just ask my mom) Lol. Working and having a career has always been a top priority for me, self-sufficiency and independence is key to a happy, satisfying life (in my opinion) – having your own coin means living life on your own terms.
As I get older and further evolve, I have now developed my purpose and that is to assist others and help make the world a better place.
I am the Sales Director for a full-service real estate agency, I handle all sales and leasing within the company. Being a one-stop shop for real estate clients is beneficial as everything is in one place and they do not need to seek services elsewhere. My background in Marketing assists me in selling/renting properties for the highest amount in the shortest amount of time, as well as helping buyers purchase properties at the best price. My clients know how up to date I am with current technologies and systems. My social media is also a top advantage – 50,000+ combined followers on all the main platforms.
I am a Third Year Board Member, Young Professionals Network for the Miami Association of Realtors (#1 largest association in the nation, IG: @MIAMIYPN); a 2nd year State Director for NAR, a member of Women’s Council of Realtors, and a Founding Member at new female co-working space: Emery (IG- @theemeryco).
One of the things that sets me apart is my work ethic, adaptability, and providing love and light to those around me and those in need. Life is hard and we don’t need to make it harder.

Dropbox revolutionized my business.
A book by Marianne Williamson – A Return To Love changed my life. Switched my “money mentality” in business, to “service mentality.” What can we do for others? How can we make someone’s life easier? Once I shifted my thinking, business took off. It also teaches about the power of GRATITUDE. An attitude of Gratitude brings great things.
My Calendar on my iPhone is my best friend, I write down EVERYTHING. Even events I am not sure I will attend, just to know they are occurring, and to have options. I like to check out events on Facebook as well as Eventbrite as they have amazing programs/meet-ups/events going on, many of them are free and extremely educational.
I recently started listening to Podcasts. Currently I am listening to Oprah’s Master Class 2019. I am a huge fan of Oprah.
I meditate and write in my journal every morning. I write down my thoughts, feelings, short term goals, long term goals, even dreams that I have. On my commute to work, I always pray and give thanks for being alive another day.
In terms of apps: Follow Up Boss is the CRM I use, their app is amazing, connects directly to my cell phone and Gmail account. It’s almost like having an assistant.
I am a huge fan of the GOMLS app and ShowingTime. Great resources our Miami Association of Realtors offers for free, I hope my fellow Miami Realtors are taking advantage.
