Meet Tracy Brutus of Cycy’s Store in North Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Brutus.

Tracy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It begins with my love of beauty products at the age of 15. As my love for beauty products grew, I knew one day I wanted to have my own cosmetic line. In 2013 I started doing makeup, seeing my client faces after the finished look gave me so much joy in my heart. In 2018 I started planning my online business I did a lot of research and finally found the products I wanted to start my online store, May 2019, I launched my cosmetic line.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
At first, it wasn’t a smooth ride for me when I started my business. I didn’t sell any of my products until June. I will never forget my first customer. I was super excited. My exceptions of how my business would progress did not happen and there were moments when I almost gave up on my business until I realize it not about how much I make daily, weekly, or monthly. It’s about the purpose of my business and what it stands for.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Cycy’s Store – what should we know?
Cycy’s Store is an Online store that offers 100 % cruelty-free mink lashes, organic products, lash accessories, makeup and other products that is exceptional to shoppers from the comfort of their own home. I am a self-learned make-up artist and will begin providing services of lash extensions. I do provide the services of applying lashes for those who are not able to do so on their own. I am known for providing great customer service, always making sure my customers are satisfied with their purchase, lash application, and walking my customers/clients through purchasing product(s) that will be perfect for them.

I am most proud of being able to keep my business going and growing. I started little and had not much help at first. However, I have managed promote my own business with the help of family and friends. And I have now a clientele who is happy with my services.

What sets me aside from others is that my priority is first to make happy customers. One happy customer can bring me two more customers and that’s how my business kept growing. Also I make sure that I sell good quality products. That’s why feedback from customers are always welcomed that way. I know what to change and how to improve. Because there’s a saying that says, “quality in a service or product is not what you put into it. It is what the customer gets out of it.”

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My biggest supporters are my husband, my sister, my mother, and my best friends. They would help me advertise my products on social media and recommend me people to me. My husband would help me ship/deliver my orders and my sister who is a hairdresser would sell my products to her clients. My team Cycy’s ambassadors who I would never imagine that I would have, Cycy’s ambassadors would always have the pleasure of representing my business. My customers/clients who give me hope and because of them, Cycy’s store is still growing.
