Today we’d like to introduce you to Tadé Owoyemi.
So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began making music during my senior year of high school. I didn’t take it as seriously back then but I enjoyed doing it and making it, it wasn’t until my friend Arseles convinced me to take it seriously. Him as well a few other friends saw the talent I had for it. I dropped my first song on all platforms back in February of this year, ever since then it’s been an upward journey. I’ve gained new supporters and made valuable connections in not even a year of dropping songs. I’m very appreciative of the ones that support my craft and I plan to continue to grow.
Has it been a smooth road?
Some of the struggles I’ve had to overcome were personal issues. I struggled with self-confidence and self-doubt, it’s easy to look at the negatives and forget the positives at times. But the people that always show me love every day and let me know that my music moves in them in a specific way is a great motivation for me. I’m still building my confidence and belief in my abilities but I’m getting to where I want to be day by day.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Polacera story. Tell us more about it.
The Collective group that I’m apart of is Polacera. The group was created to bring together creatives in an honest and accepting space. The logo for Polacera is the blue butterfly. It specializes in areas such as musical artists, video content creators, painters and we’re excited to expand to models and photographers as well.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see Polacera being a large brand almost like Dreamville, OVO, and other well-respected labels within the industry.
