Meet Stella Vidal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stella Vidal.

Stella, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born in Cali, Colombia and was a teenager when the drug cartels started to take over my country. By the grace of God, my dad was provided a visa and subsequently, a green card to come to the US. We arrived to New York City on September 1986.

My mom, dad, two younger brothers and my younger sister. We came to a very small town in the Catskill Mountains, Ellenville, NY. We stayed with my aunt and her young son in their one-bedroom apartment. Yes, all of us for several months until my dad, who spoke ZERO English could find employment.

My dad enrolled me in the local high school, I placed at a 12th-grade level, so I went from a Sophomore in High School in Colombia to a Senior in the US. Needless to say, my life was a whirlwind from that point forward. I left for college a year later on a full Minority Honors scholarship.

I left home six months after coming to America. My dad, out of fear, told me that if I went away to college I would be deserting the family and that I would not be successful, so I decided to prove him wrong.

I dove in and chose a path that was completely unknown, but my soul told me that I had to. I paid my own way through college, between student loans and part-time jobs, I was never without. I assimilated to the American culture seamlessly. I loved the freedom it provided. I could be self-sufficient and successful!!

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and obtained a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova South Eastern University in 1997, 11 years after coming to America. I reconciled with my parents two years after I left to college.

Fast forward several years, I was part of a great organization, Family Builders in Broward county for almost 10 years fighting child abuse and neglect. I started as a Case Manager and moved up to counselor to Program Director at the age of 27. This was a real demanding job at that time. I carried a beeper and was basically responsible for the caseload of eight teams of two Counselors each. We had to make sure that children under our watch were not hurt in any way.

A SUCCESS STORY: A personal client who was an 18 months Mexican little boy, slapped by his father while crying in the crib. The child was diagnosed Failure to thrive. At 18 months, he was never put on the floor to crawl or attempt to walk. He did not know how to move his body. I worked with the young mom on how to help her child advance developmentally. While I was with the family for three months, he learned to crawl and stand on his own He started to walk. She eventually left the dad because of alcoholism and abuse and started vocational school.

Yes, This has been my entire life. Helping others find their own way.

What’s coming up for you next?
Today, at 50, I m living my best life. I’m a successful Life Coach. I’m a full-time Commercial Real Estate Advisor, currently seeing great success and enjoying the collaboration that I have with my clients fro all over the world. Life is limitless.

THE PANDEMIC:

I’m experiencing a rebirth through this pandemic, and have been writing a lot.

During the “lock down” , I wrote a three part seminar focused on recovering from traumatic events, REBORN.

So, REBORN! Mind, Body & Soul was born. I conducted a month of webinars with amazing women. We discussed how trauma forces us to let go of everything that we once knew. We worked on seeing our new reality from a different perspective. One of Love and Promise, not one of death and destruction. It’s all about reframing our current perception with a more mature mind for a better understanding of our journey. The webinars were a great success, and now that we can gather in small groups, I am planning my first in person REBORN session in Miami. Please go to my website to subscribe for updates and for other self-love items and tips!

Please tell us about Self Love Coach Stella Vidal.
I approach every individual’s situation alongside with them. We engage in a collaborative experience and we will both benefit from it. Commitment is as important as vision. The underlying ingredient to everything I say and preach is Self Love. Always. In my own experience, turning within, and learning how to love and rediscover my self has always been how I have been able to heal and grow through each experience.

My approach is multifaceted, just like humans are. We can not treat one and not the others. We are a beautiful unified multifaceted structure that functions in many capacities. I am also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, so if you also want to look differently than you do today, we can work on that in conjunction with everything else. Once our goals are established, then we get to work. I will work on providing you with the upmost respect and acceptance while you rediscover the way to your happiness.

I will warn you that I like to have fun, and as an artist and writer, I love to incorporate movement, art, and other creative tools to help you reach the best version of yourself.

Our bodies carry many memories that we’ve held deep inside that have to be brought to the surfaced and looked at so that we can finally let go of unnecessary burdens and leave more space open for the creation of our new life. The lives of our REBIRTH.
