Meet Shatoyia Falls of Shatoyia Falls Ministries in Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shatoyia Falls.

Shatoyia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Seven years ago, my life changed significantly when I moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 23. I left behind my family and friends as I explored this new journey of faith. I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. I was raised by my grandmother from early childhood until eighteen. I was abandoned by both of my biological parents which left a void that I was seeking a man to fill. I encountered numerous unhealthy relationships and struggled with low self-esteem due to not discovering my true identity in Christ. By the age of 25, I truly gave my whole life to God. That was the beginning of my healing process and the discovery of my true identity. In 2011, I started Shatoyia Falls Ministries, My mission is to address and remedy the spiritual and psychological needs of humanity using exhortation as a tool to restore hope and bring relief from pain; while impacting the lives of those suffering to discover their profound purposes in the face of adversity. I learned through failed and broken relationships the love I was searching for as a child was in God. He fills me up with His unconditional love and I am able to properly love myself and others. I delight in helping people reach the divine purposes God has for them on the earth.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Life is what you make it out to be. There are always going to be challenges along the way, especially, if what you do is effective. Discouragement and fear will have you believe that you are not equipped or qualified to carry out your assignment. I always struggled with self-doubt which discouraged me from believing that I was capable to lead, mentor, minister, counsel, and encourage anyone. What helped me get through these obstacles was praying, reading the Word, and speaking positive affirmations over my life.

Please tell us about Shatoyia Falls Ministries.
Minister Shatoyia Falls encourages and empowers the lives of God’s people through the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. The ministry’s primary goal is to restore hope and birth purpose beyond a person’s pain. Throughout her own painful experiences being brokenhearted in many seasons, she has birthed “Purpose in Brokenness”. This is accomplished through developing a personal and intimate relationship with God, which enhances one’s understanding that pain activates and births a profound and influential purpose. Minister Shatoyia has a heart after God; she desires to see all His people overcome calamity and reach their fullest potentials. She understands that without love, it will get you nowhere.
