Meet Sean Garner of EntreFit in Midtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Garner.

So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Growing up, I was honestly, the scrawny unathletic kid. My interest in fitness really didn’t start until I was training to become a firefighter/paramedic. After getting on at a local department in Oklahoma, I started a side business training clients in a small garage gym and went on to own two strength and conditioning gyms while living in Oklahoma. Almost four years ago, my wife and I decided to go a different direction in my career and moved to Miami with our two daughters where I started as a Personal Trainer at a popular luxury boutique studio in Miami Beach. Quite the change from a small-town guy from Tulsa, Oklahoma! But I went on to grow a 6 figure personal training business and then as General Manager and had great success. Although, I loved leading and developing other trainers and growing a fitness business, I ultimately knew that I was an entrepreneur at heart and desired a life with more flexibility for my family while at the same time having the satisfaction of helping trainers chase their dreams and impact people with good, quality fitness. Having created multiple successful digital fitness products, DVDs, and worked with major brands on social media or product development, it became clear that digital fitness is the future of fitness.

And that’s really where EntreFit was born. EntreFit started small group coaching and private 1 -on-1 consulting for trainers looking to expand their existing client base and tap into the online or digital fitness market about 18 months ago. This last year, I walked away from managing and operating gym facilities to create multiple 5 and 6 figure digital streams of revenue while working from home and having more flexibility and freedom to enjoy my wife and kids.

Under the EntreFit umbrella, I’ve got a handful of consultants that support the fitness professionals working with us to truly create and scale a sustainable digital fitness business that allows them to avoid trainer burnout, have greater impact with their clients, and create a life of freedom. Passionate about teaching and inspiring fitness professionals, I’m traveling around the country with some international trips planned next year to speak to fitness pros on the subject of digital fitness and taking their lives and impact to the next level. I am super excited about what’s to come!

Has it been a smooth road?
The greatest challenge was juggling a full-time job to get this thing off the ground. After coming home from sometimes 12-15hr days at the gym, I was coming home creating content, websites, coaching other trainers and more. The second big challenge was making the decision to leave the comforts of a position and business I was thriving in to go out on my own and be a full-time entrepreneur.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Whether a trainer has never had any online products or feels stuck in scaling their existing business, EnterFit simplifies creating and scaling a digital fitness business in a way that’s personal to the trainer and their goals. We only work with serious fitness professionals… trainers that have at least two years or more of in-person fitness training which is something we are proud of. I’m not interested in helping trainers with no real experience looking for some quick cash training people online. We want to magnify the good in fitness… great trainers who are looking for not only a greater impact but business and lifestyle they can sustain for years to come.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely, Miami is a hub spot for fitness. We’ve got a lot of great talented fitness professionals here that with the right guidance can further grow the positive impact of fitness in the community here locally and globally.
