Meet Vaso Spirou of Salon Vaso in Miami Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vaso Spirou.

Vaso, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
With a team of incredible stylists from around the globe, Salon Vaso for over 20 years has been serving the great people that have built Miami into what it is today by specializing in corrective color and curly hair. After battling breast cancer for almost 10 yrs. off and on losing my hair depending on various treatments I decided I had enough and created my own hair care line called byVASO with emphasis on strengthening and thickening one’s hair.

Salon Vaso is not only a place for all beauty needs, but a place where strong relationships of trust and satisfaction are most important.

Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth is how we work your hair. The road has been bumpy, but mainly due to my health, with several surgeries it was a mission to do hair which was a downer because this is how I feel alive. Other than that, there is no mountain high enough and all roads are clear!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Specializing in corrective color and curly hair. Known for repairing damaged hair and consistent excellent service. I most proud that I have a team of specialists that have been by my side anywhere from 4 to 12 years = loyalty! It’s something not so common these days in my industry. We cater to not only many tourists but our locals, the real people that have made this beautiful city what it is today. This is my family! That alone sets us apart from others.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I do! Everyone wants to come to Miami. It’s the greatest city! So much to do and so easy to get around… If I had to give any advice on starting a business like mine, I would say that it is important to keep it real! stay true to the reason that you are independent, don’t try to compete.
