Meet Pierre Hachar Jr. of The Hachar Law Firm – The Group in Miami Lakes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pierre Hachar Jr.

Pierre, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was a musician before I was an entertainment lawyer. Was blessed to work with some amazing and talented artists as a drummer and producer, and they were always getting taken advantage of, and I was always explaining what they should do to protect their rights. I had a music business degree from Berklee College of Music and The University of Miami, and the little I knew, gave me the power to help. So I woke up one day and said, I’m gonna be an entertainment lawyer. I went to law school, graduated top of my class, passed the bar, and opened my own law firm. The rest, as they say, is history. I now have the honor of representing some of the biggest Latin artists in the industry.

Has it been a smooth road?
The challenges are many, too many to name. However, overcoming them is part of the game and part of being the best you can be. A major challenge is knowing when to separate politics with friendship, and friendship from business. Some entertainment attorneys make the wrong decisions for their clients to keep a relationship with a label, an executive, a publisher, etc. That’s not how I work. I respect the players, but my client comes first. If they are getting taken advantage of, either I help them by going hard against the other side, or I drop them as a client. I don’t put politics of the game over my profession that’s not fair to my client.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am an entertainment attorney representing high profile celebrities with an extensive musical background. My roster of clients includes Grammy and Latin Grammy award winning artists, producers, and songwriters. I am the founder of The Hachar Law Firm, a law practice which is full service to entertainment with comprehensive legal representation in business, immigration, and litigation within the scope of Entertainment. We structure multi-million dollar deals in national and international touring, sponsorships, recording, publishing and general business transactions. We are best known for taking artist careers in developing stages and structuring them with the proper legal foundation and building a creative team around them for mainstream success. I become their Entertainment lawyer with my entire team behind them. We take pride in not just being one attorney representing the client, my entire firm represents the client. That’s multiple attorneys and music business professionals all diving into the client’s career so they succeed. That’s what sets us apart. I don’t think there is another entertainment law firm like us.

On select occasions, if I feel very connected to a particular artist, and my team shares in my vision, I will take on the role of manager. I currently manage four artists with my management team known as THE Group. The Hachar Entertainment Group (THE Group), is a passion-driven music management company, founded by entertainment attorneys. THE Group is led by business and music professionals shaping the new age of music management and media development in a global and digital world.

At THE Group, for example, we took a 14-year-old influencer and made her a multi-platinum superstar by the age of 15. One example of our dedication and commitment leveraging our know-how and music background.

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Everything takes its course just as it should. It’s a marathon not a sprint.
