Meet Michelle Gingold of Del Sol Bakery in Boynton Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Gingold.

Michelle, please share your story with us. 
Del Sol Bakery is a small neighborhood family-owned bakery specializing in artisan bread, hand rolled pastries, scones, cookies and decadent cakes. We offer a chef’s selection of pastries, bread and sweets that are prepared and baked fresh every day in our open production kitchen. In addition, we wholesale to local businesses and cater specialty platters and cakes.

I am the head baker and was born and raised in South Florida with great appreciation and love for food. Influenced by my grandmother’s scratch-made pasta, biscotti, and empanadas, I started cooking at a young age. After graduating culinary school and gaining experience working in bakeries and restaurants I opened my own bakery in May 2017. Del Sol Bakery was a dream born from 6 adventurous years and countless days of baking and critiquing to create the perfect balance of flavors, textures, and aromas in each of her recipes. Del Sol opened May 2017 and is located in East Boynton Beach.

At Del Sol, we believe in the beauty and craftsmanship of making authentic recipes from scratch using specialty grains, real butter, and dark chocolate. Every batch of dough is prepared daily in our bakery, our bread is baked in an Italian stone hearth deck oven and each croissant is hand-rolled.

Has it been a smooth road?
There are always challenges when starting a new business. Our biggest struggle was the build-out of the bakery. It took us over a year to open after signing our lease since we had issues with contractors, getting permits, incorrect floor plans, and a/c problems.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Del Sol Bakery story. Tell us more about the business.
Del Sol is a small family-owned bakery specializing in artisan bread, made-to-order cakes, cookies, scones, hand-rolled croissants, and pastries. We are a wholesale bakery, caterer, and we have a daily chef selection available at our store. Our products are prepared and baked fresh every day in our open production kitchen. They are made using real butter, dark chocolate, and seasonal produce creating delicious flavors.

We are known for our freshly baked bread such as baguettes, sourdough, challah buns, and ciabatta. Our ham and cheese and cinnamon croissants our a huge hit with our customers.

What sets us apart are our hand shaped croissants that are baked fresh daily.
