Meet Maureen Kelly Winter of MoesMonkeys in Palm Beach Gardens

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maureen Kelly Winter.

MoesMonkeys is a family run business, which was founded by Maureen when she began sewing apparel for her grandchildren. Demand for her original designs developed quickly, as her grandchildren wore and modeled the apparel Maureen created. MoesMonkeys has evolved out of the love and pride Maureen takes in handcrafting each one of her products.

With over 30 years of sewing experience, Maureen has sewn quality clothing for her five children and thirteen grandchildren. And now develops original apparel with fleece, cotton and spandex. Maureen’s husband and adult children work with her in creating her signature clothing line and researching future products. Maureen individually picks her fabrics and materials to provide her customers with a unique, and comfortable look.

Has it been a smooth road?
As a small business one of our greatest challenges has been obtaining high quality fabrics in small quantities at affordable cost… Unlike large mass produced products made in China, we are limited to purchasing in small quantities. This impacts our ability to compete.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the MoesMonkeys story. Tell us more about the business.
All clothing is sewn everyday by Maureen in her work space, John. Maureen’s husband spends his time cutting, packaging and mailing the product. MoesMonkey’s clothing line consist of colorful, soft, comfortable fleece pants, dresses with coordinating leggings, sleep sacks and toddler sets.

We take great pride in the quality of our products and because of our continued effort we have a large following of loyal customers.

Unlike mass produced items our products are all made in the USA with very strict quality control. We work hard to find a balance between comfort and quality while still selling our products at a reasonable price.
