Meet Martikia Brown of Bella Amore the Stylist

Today we’d like to introduce you to Martikia Brown.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Martikia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started modeling back in 2015. I was a brand ambassador for selfie star, which is a wig line by modu anytime company. After that, I went to some training in Chicago at the fine arts building, which was cool. I learned alot about different fashion trends while visiting Chicago. Modeling was fun, but I still felt like I was missing something, so I went back to my first love “fashion styling.”

As a child, I would draw pictures of outfits or play the old school barbie fashion games on the computer. Now I am virtual styling on Instagram and I love it, I just officially started in August of 2019, but I have met some amazing people along the way. I plan on perfecting my skills and becoming the best stylist that I can be! There is some other great stylist out there and I would love to collaborate with all of them.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My road was definitely hard not smooth at all, in the midst of trying to become a model back in 2016. I lost everything I could barely afford life, but God definitely changed things for the better. I got my smile back and my style back. My road to success is getting better but I do struggle with engagement on Instagram, but in due time I know it will work itself out.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
My business name is Bella Amore the Stylist. I am a warebodre stylist. My job is to make people happy by creating the best outfit for them. I always believed everyone is amazing and special no matter what shape or size. Honestly, I can’t pinpoint one thing I’m proud of because I’m proud of everything I have accomplished.

What were you like growing up?
I grew up a military child, so life was very structured but fun. I met so many people from different places. I loved moving around and experiencing different cultures; I was very open-minded as a child. I remember we lived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and I just loved the culture, the life and definitely the fashion Florida offered. As a child, I use to act like I was a fashion designer or act like I was walking the runway I had a big imagination. Growing up and still to this day, my favorite magazine was vogue. I use to love going to the stores and seeing the latest fashion designers and fashion stylists. That made my day as a child.
