Meet Martha Hampton of SendWork in Brickell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Martha Hampton.

Martha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
When, as a General Manager of exclusive hotels in the Miami area, my staff would come to me looking for suggestions on how to earn extra money. There were not many options available to me. Otherwise restrained by the staffing needs of a specific property, all I could suggest was for them to apply their skills independently.

Over the years this has been a constant theme that played on my mind. With my eagerness to solve the problem, I created SendWork; an App that matches the professional skills, experience and expertise of vetted hotel cleaners with the prerequisite of home owners to bring luxury hotel services to their home.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The App has been in development for over 10 months. The challenge to build a sophisticated App built with proprietary software with ‘Uber’ like features yet functions as an easy to use management App for the freelance house cleaners and yet, functions as a sophisticated easy to use service App for the clients required rework after rework.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with SendWork – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Every aspect of SendWork is designed to support, promote and reward excellent Providers (freelance house cleaners) and maintain their autonomy. We function as a dedicated sales and marketing team, a customer retention firm, a payment processor, and a portfolio enhancement service for every one of our service providers—with no out-of-pocket costs to them.

There are two defining principles behind the architecture of SendWork, both of which are close to my heart. 1) Providers are entitled to the money they earn and 2) SendWork’s primary goal is to promote Providers, not profit off them.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are initially targeting professional people that are accustomed to a certain level of service. They are busy and have the monetary resources to outsource daily chores. It frees up their time allowing them to concentrate on business, enjoy recreational activities, and live the type of life they’ve envisioned for themselves. As we continue to expand out of Brickell, we aim to arrive on South Beach and North Miami in the not too distant future before, hopefully expanding to other affluent parts of Miami.
