Meet Katharine and Robert Schlien of Buddy Custard in Delray Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katharine and Robert Schlien.

The journey began when our founder, Robert Schlien, was diagnosed with Non-hodgekins lymphoma 14 years ago. Immediately he was prescribed chemo/ radiation, but the prospect of such debilitating treatment seemed counter intuitive. Fortuitously he was made aware of Dr. Joanna Budwig and the Budwig Protocol, which he began in 2010.

This simple program, developed in Germany in the 1950’s, involves combining a protein and omega oil mixture in a very specific way and results in the “re-oxygenation” and subsequent improvement in the function of maladaptive cells. Today his cancer is considered “non-detectable.”

Subsequently, we learned this protocol was especially effective for animals suffering with cancer, so we re-engineered the Budwig formula for pets. Since then we have enjoyed tremendous success.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although Buddy Custard is a unique and potentially life-saving product, the pet care industry is highly competitive. Presently our main challenge involves informing the public about the incredible value Buddy Custard is as an effective alternative or adjunct to costly, inhumane medical therapies.

Fortunately, e-commerce and social media are our main avenues of interaction, keeping customer costs low. While alternative programs are often met with skepticism, 60+ years of personal testimonials about the effectiveness of the protocol speaks for itself. What we are really providing is hope to pets and their parents alike.

Buddy Custard – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
After the success founder Robert Schlien achieved, our own experiences with sick dogs and copious positive testimonials, we were inspired to create Buddy Custard. This product is a convenient, effective and affordable solution for use instead of or as an adjunct to harmful conventional therapies.

Our proprietary formula is based on the Budwig Protocol pioneered by Dr. Joanna Budwig. She was a well-known quantum physicist and biologist in Germany who was the foremost expert in cancer solutions during the 1950’s. She enjoyed a 90-95% cure rate with her human patients over a span of about 40 years.

Our proprietary formula is developed to be ingested by our pets, is delicious and provides the identical success. For the first time, Buddy Custard is introducing a pet food product to the market that truly works to humanely aid animals suffering with cancer, all in a convenient and cost-effective package.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Aside from my own personal success, seeing ill animals not only survive but thrive after this devastating diagnosis is what inspires us.
