Meet Justin Easthall of Easthall Design in Homestead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Easthall.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
A British citizen working in London, I met a girl from Miami – we are now married with 2 children – we immigrated to South Florida about 7 years ago where I set up www.easthalldesign.com a small boutique website design firm. I’m trained as a graphic designer with a degree in GD from Bolton University, Manchester England. I graduated in 1998, where I worked as a graphic designer for various media agencies but finally settled as a multi-media designer in-house for the Royal Regent’s College in central London, This was my final job before moving to Miami.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I do feel I landed on my feet to be honest – one of my first jobs when I arrived to Miami and set up Easthall Design was designing Chris Bosh’s (Miami Heat) wedding website. But the last year has been a struggle for sure. Google’s algorithms seem to be changing all the time so it’s a constant battle for me to keep high in SERP which is where most of my business is won, I was number one for a lot of keywords – not anymore. This year has probably been the slowest yet.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Easthall Design – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We design custom websites. End of. We do not use templates or WordPress (although we have used WP from time to time, custom of course). Our USP is just that, we design custom high-end looking websites that you could only get from a design agency, but at a much smaller budget. Most proudest moments would be working with Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, building her campaign website, building the Chris Bosh wedding website, and branding for TIKD – an awesome App that’s currently all over Miami news. https://tikd.com/press

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Moving out of the home studio and getting some office space – whoever said working from home was fun is wrong 😉
