Meet Jonathan Traccitto of Tracc IT Consultants in North Broward

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Traccitto.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started when I was 6 and my mom took an old DOS computer from her work and set it up at home so she can do “word processing” . Surely this peaked my curiosity to see some strange odd-looking machine in the den. My mom showed me how to turn it on and log onto the machine. My mom had an IT guy who came over and installed some children’s learning games on the machine, i.e. math and typing games. By age 8, I could type 65wpm, faster than my mom oddly enough. Every time the machine broke down (due to me messing with it), her IT guy came over and fixed it and this intrigued me greatly. As I got older, my passion for computers and technology grew to an obsession. By age 14, I was building my own computers and for friends. In my last year of high school, I interned full time at a local computer consulting firm. My tasks were to build custom machines for customers, computer diagnostic and repair, along with building servers for bigger clients. I attended college in Toronto Canada and graduated with a Computer Science Degree, ever since than I never looked back. I worked for various companies as a technician, but I always hated the fact we were told to charge as much as possible for a repair, and in some instances technicians would lie. I was fed up with those businesses not having integrity, so I started my own company.

Tracc IT Consultants main goal is honest hassle-free service always. Whether we service an entire business network consisting of 100+ workstations or 1 computer at a residential home, everyone gets treated with honesty and respect. We truly care about our customers, I am 100 percent confident all my clients would tell you the same. Without my customers I would not be in business. Providing excellent and prompt service will always beat out our competitors who offer poor quality service and simply just do not care about their customers. I do not see my customers as dollar signs, I see them as lifelong clients and in some cases, they have become very good friends of mine.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think any startup business can say it has been a smooth road. When we first busted into the market place, we were met with hostility from competitors. This business is very difficult to breakthrough, and not to mention there are very big players in the game like the big box stores. There a lot of IT companies in south Florida, which all offer similar services to us, but they are very expensive. We set ourselves apart from the overpriced companies, and offer far superior services at a lower cost. Our attitude sells our services for us and once a customer or client sees are determination to help, they are hooked and never look elsewhere for support.

TRACC IT CONSULTANTS – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We provide everything from on-site residential and commercial tech support, remote access tech support to designing business network infrastructure than bringing it to life. Our specialty as well as most of our sales come from companies outsourcing their IT needs to us. We offer monthly IT packages for small businesses to accommodate their IT needs. Since majority of small businesses have limited resources as an organization, they have limits to the type of tasks they can accomplish in an IT context. Offloading their IT support to us, frees up internal resources that can be allocated to processes that can expand their business.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I am proud that we understand how to function as a company to be successful and a lot of it is customer service. Our customers service sets us apart from my competitors by leaps and bounds. Every time I start with a new monthly client, by the second time we have shown up on-site we have already been praised on punctuality and how much we care. I am always told by my clients that they have never received such care from an IT company in the past. I personally have stayed on-site at businesses into the early morning hours, just to try and find a solution to their problem. My customers NEVER get charged for drive time or over time, NEVER! Everything is included in their monthly package, and we have multiple packages to choose from. We will also customize a monthly package to fit a client’s needs.
