Today we’d like to introduce you to Ixamar Palumbo and Kristine Ramirez.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ixamar and Kristine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As two Miami digital creators focusing on the food & travel market, we learned about the ins and outs of the industry rather quickly. Being small business owners ourselves (Kristine is the owner and personal concierge behind ‘Algo Más? Inc.’ and Ixamar is a wedding & lifestyle photographer) we experienced both sides of the story when it comes to working with influencers and bloggers. To wash away the stigma, we made it our mission to educate brands and creators on how to properly collaborate and work together to attain a positive ROI for both parties.
That’s when Boss Bloggers MIA was born; a project with the purpose to unite creatives and brands from all over the world to further help businesses grow and succeed while spreading the importance of collaboration. In May 2019, the first Boss Bloggers MIA event was launched in Miami. Inspired by the idea that collaboration can transform a community, hundreds of partners, volunteers, and passionate people answered the call to help create Miami’s newest networking panel discussion. Boss Bloggers MIA quickly became a community of creators, social media marketers, influencers, brands, and agencies coming together in the spirit of #CommunityOverCompetition. Since then, we’ve had panel discussions touching upon the topics of brand collaboration from a digital creator’s perspective, an agency panel from the brands perspective, mobile photography & Instagram hack workshop and a networking Halloween Soirée. It’s been quite a ride for a company that launched just a few months ago!
Has it been a smooth road?
We’ve been fortunate enough to have stumbled upon some incredible humans along this journey. We never imaged the willingness of other brands wanting to work with us on future events and how much traction our brand received on social media from men and women all over wanting to learn! We truly believed in our little project and I think that’s what sold it to many; the fact that you could see how in love we were with Boss Bloggers MIA’s purpose.
Like any business owner, we’re ready for the struggles that may come our way. We made it a point to always have each other’s back if anything approaches. After all it’s about community and helping each other grow. It’s all about the Power of the Pack and rising together in the presence of adversity.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
We’re incredibly proud of the lives we’ve touched on this journey and the impact we’ve made in our community in such little time. This isn’t about us and that’s where our true happiness lies. It’s getting the messages from creators in the industry thanking us for the information and pointers we’ve shared with them at one of our panel discussions or workshops. It’s hearing the success stories of a brand connecting with a blogger at one of our events and creating something beautiful out of it. It’s knowing that one of our sponsors or partners made multiple connections at our event that would help them get hired for more projects in the future. It’s truly priceless.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Miami is so full of opportunity if you know what direction to look in. This city truly is all about who you know, so when starting a business just make sure to have a strong network backing you up.
