Meet Ignacio Lopez & Leon Posada of Mussa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ignacio Lopez & Leon Posada.

Ignacio Lopez and Leon Posada founded Mussa towards the end of 2016, with the intention of integrating emerging technologies like AR into the work of creative professionals. We’ve come to specialize in the integration of AR into street art and print media, and now have projects ranging from murals to magazines in several cities in the US and Europe.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a brutal but rewarding process, and after having overcome a million obstacles, there is now light at the end of the tunnel. We’ve been turned away a thousand times, and have had to deal with everything from predatory developers to clients vanishing mid-project!

But, we’ve also learned a lot and created some amazing projects. For example, we made the first limited edition AR print in the market with El Pez, an amazing artist and now close friend, and were showcased at the Adobe Max conference in Sacramento!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Mussa story. Tell us more about the business.
Mussa uses augmented reality tools to create immersive experiences around the work of creative professionals. We specialize in integrating these experience in the work of artists and are best known for our projects with street artists in Miami, Denver, and the UK.

We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built during the past two years, the projects we have created, and the way these projects are helping redefine how we experience art. Our proudest moment was probably having our work showcased at the Adobe Max conference, and knowing that we’re part of a new ecosystem of AR professionals driving this amazing tech forward!

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck is always a factor, but you have to be prepared to recognize a lucky break once it comes, and have the know-how to be able to do something about it. We’ve had both good and bad luck these past two years, but the hard moments in life have given us the tools to continue moving forward.
