The story of dharma tattoo studio, it’s rather unique and is the story of the universe lining up to help create one of the most reputable tattoo studios in Miami, Florida. Herlys or as everyone calls him Loco Dharma was presented with the idea of purchasing tattoo equipment amongst friends with the intentions of tattooing each other. Although, this idea never came through, a few years later it surfaced once again. This time without hesitation. He bought a tattoo set up and started tattooing friend as a hobby. At that moment, that was no more than just that, a hobby. Three months after he started tattooing, Loco Dharma was involved in a car accident and as a result his tattooing hand was broken and needed surgery. Although, the therapist insisted that he should find a different passion, but his love for tattooing had already gone too far. During his recovery, Loco Dharma had an acquaintance that had started working at a local tattoo shop and had ask him to stop by. And so he did and came back every day after that for a few weeks. Loco Dharma took it upon himself to swipe, answer phones, help the clients and so forth. The owner of this shop ( Chico ) liked the attitude and brought to him the opportunity to work there and Loco Dharma took the opportunity. The time was June of 2003, this was the first time he called himself a tattooer. Two years later, due to difference in visions, Loco Dharma decided to part ways and venture on his own. In February of 2006, Loco Dharma founded Dharma Tattoo Studio and until today, he and his team strives to maintain the reputation that precedes his studio.
