Meet Hannah Eden of PumpFit Club in Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Eden.

The inception of the brand took place in 2014, when the Founder Hannah was invited to coach a weekly beach workout at Nikki Beach on Sundays during summer.

Following the success of those classes, Hannah was invited to host her class in the back of a local CrossFit gym. With only 5 classes a week, the owners Hannah and Paulo Barreto began drawing people’s attention with out-of-the-box workouts and electrifying coaching styles. Fast forward a year late, PumpFit had 13 classes weekly and 30 members on the roster. After changing the dynamic of the gym they used to operate from by drawing more and more people to their classes, they quickly realized there was an opportunity to cater to those looking for a high intensity workout without the intimidating and injury prone movements from the CrossFit model.

On December 2015, PumpFit Club opened its doors and, ever since, it has been constantly engaged in the local Fort Lauderdale community by promoting fitness, while bringing awareness to local Charities and Non-Profit Organizations.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being an entrepreneur and wearing so many hats is definitely one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced.

Being able to juggle the business, being a friend, being a daughter, being a wife, has put things into perspective to me. Prioritizing your life becomes priority when there are no safety nets to catch you.

PumpFit Club – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
DNA: PumpFit Club is a boutique upscale facility that offers high intensity full body group workouts in a structured interval training setting. Focusing on a blend of Body Building, Kettle Bell Sport, Animal Flow, Body Weight Plyometrics and Yoga, we combine intense cardio & resistance training to create the ideal metabolic demand for effective long-term fat loss and overall conditioning.

Our Proprietary Workouts:

Monster Monday: Commonly called “30:60:90” this is arguably the most challenging workout of the week. It is structured as a three tier interval with a 3:1 work/rest ratio. Get ready to kick Monday in the face!!

Tabata Tuesday: Following the training model created by Dr. Izumi Tabata, we have added our own spice to develop a structure that will shock your body and rev up your metabolism. It is a 2:1 work/rest ratio and also the shortest interval structure of the week.

The 40:5ve: We took the “Classic Interval” – 45s:15s work/rest – and made it into a not so classy workout. Be the Tailgate or the After Party, either way you will be dazed.

Buck-It Thursday: Not your usual Station Training. Partner up and get ready to “buck” this workout up!

Open Format Friday: Forget about intervals, let’s get mental! Get to know your limits a little better without any “bells and whistles”.

Mash-Up Saturday: A medley of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday all into one workout.

Casual Sundays with Sarah: Stations and circuits at its best. The perfect sweat sesh before brunch!

We create a place for adults to be adults. Once you walk through our doors you are stripped from all labels. You are not a boss, nor an employee; not a mom, nor a dad… you are simply YOU! The hour you dedicate to us, is the one hour of the day you have for yourself only. The one break you have to get to know yourself a little more, to find new limits and to find out how much more you are capable of. We empower those around us to set goals and chase them until they become reality.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is a broad concept and trying to define it is virtually impossible. My personal grasp of success revolves around the idea of doing something bigger than yourself and trying to leave the world a better place than how we found it. That’s what I strive for everyday of my life!
