Meet Greg Marinello of Runner EDQ in Boca Raton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Marinello.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We started back in 1997, 20 years ago working with Florida universities. We focused on understanding the student life cycle recruiting to admissions to alumni and found out the level of communication between the schools and the students were inconsistent due to the students contact data was changing and expanding. Now, we are focusing more on the corporate data life cycle’s of customers, employees and vendors because of the need in the marketplace.

Has it been a smooth road?
Selling software in today’s environment is always challenging, it’s a very competitive marketplace, however, Runner EDQ has stayed current with all the communication trends (social, text messaging, etc.) offering the most widely used product in certain verticals. The biggest challenge is getting to the right people in new accounts to understand their experience and allow Runner EDQ to share how we can align to their needs and provide a measurable solution.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Runner EDQ story. Tell us more about the business.
Runner EDQ focuses on validating, standardizing and formatting all employee, customer, vendor, student and alumni contact data (name, addresses, global addresses, email, cell phone, social channels) within the worlds leading Human Capital Management (HCM) systems; PeopleSoft, ADP, etc., Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems; Salesforce.com, Siebel, Microsoft Dynamics, etc., Student Information Systems (SIS); PeopleSoft Campus, Ellucian (Banner, Colleague, Advance) and more. Our solutions provide real time validation embedded directly into these applications, there is no change in the user experience. Runner EDQ’s differentiator are these integrations. Our software development of these integrations are all validated by our software partners; Oracle, Ellucian, etc. We have customers in every vertical with over 2200 users with a 99% retention rate. Runner EDQ is 100% focused on our customers satisfaction while also assuring we continue to deliver the return on their investment they expected. Runner EDQ offers free benchmarks and trials to show prospective customers the quality and accuracy of their current contact database.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Our 3 year business plan projects strong growth globally with continued growth in the USA and Canada. Runner EDQ is also continuing to build out verticalized (industry) data bundles, for example; finance, hospitality, retail, healthcare, etc. These bundles are designed with our customers input to the exact updated and current data points each of these industries rely on each day. We are also expanding our Software Integrations, developing for eCommerce, marketing, sales, performance management applications, all being offered for either Cloud or on-premise solutions. We plan to use our new integrated data sets to help win over millennials in sales efforts and recruitment for corporate America and Higher-Ed.
