Meet Gabby B

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabby B.

Gabby B, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have a very long and complicated past, so I like to give the condensed version. I’ve done a lot of moving in my life. I was born in Brazil and raised in France. I’ve lived in Canada and have had multiple stints in the U.S. until I eventually landed in Florida, which is where I stay to this day. My background in entertainment started when I was little. I was always watching my parents perform on stage, as my mom is a samba dancer and my dad is a martial arts teacher specializing in Capoeira. Since then, I’ve always wanted to work in the entertainment industry in some form. It wasn’t until I was 18 when I officially started my music career. My best friend and his father really made this happen and told me my dreams could be a reality. They took me to a studio and I began by doing cover songs, eventually making them into short music videos.

After doing a few of those, we all decided it was time to take it to the next level. They became my management team and we recorded my song “Como Te Llamas.” This was not my first release but it was the first song I ever recorded, which took place in Atlanta. We then began to release songs on a consistent basis and really started to create my brand image. Each song my team and I put out has a music video with it, as we worked with lots of new people along the way. After our fifth song, we added some key team members and started to create larger productions with the music videos. Along the way, I was able to perform at venues such as the Brazilian Festival and tour with High School Nation. For my last two songs, we reached out to Londynn B and Devvon Terrell for features.

The song with Londynn B is called “Loot” and ranked as high as number four in the world on the DRT Global Top 150 Independent Airplay Chart. I went on a radio tour in New York for this song and spoke to many media outlets such as Rolling Out. The song with Devvon Terrell is called “Fine” and currently has over 400,000 views on the music video. Nowadays, with everything that’s going on, I’ve been focusing on social media a lot more. In fact, I had a video go viral on TikTok with over 38 million views. This got me onto Spectrum News in Los Angeles and on Comcast’s Pop Fusion TV. Everyday, I continue to create new content to fill all of my platforms and engage with my fans!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In this industry, there’s always going to be some ups and some downs. Although, for the most part, my team and I have been on top of everything, there have been moments that have not been perfect. For example, our music video production gets really crazy! Things never go exactly as planned, and we have to do things at the last minute many times. The reality is that things just happen, and you can’t always control them no matter how far in advance you plan. The key is to always have a backup plan and be ready for the unexpected. I have a great team behind me, so I know they will always have my back.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I am an independent pop recording artist. I would say that I specialize in performing on stage. During my performances, I go all out to put on a show. I use every ounce of my stamina in my dance moves and spread my happiness to everyone who is watching. I feel like what separates me from other artists is my personality. Everybody has different personalities and unique ways of representing themselves. For me, I think my advantage lies here because of the way I am. I bring the positivity and energy into everywhere I go and put it into everything I do!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
For me personally, I define success as being independent. Success is when I don’t have to rely on others to take care of me. When I’m able to buy my own food, a house, and have a consistent income to take care of bills. Once I’m able to do these things, I’ll know that what I’m doing is working.
