Meet Frantzy Moreau

Today we’d like to introduce you to Frantzy Moreau.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Frantzy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Grew up very low-income and limited to many things so imagination was a constant resort to escape the reality that was bare.

Creativity outflowed heavy especially the first time I saw Dragonball Z on TV one morning right before school circa ’94 – ’95, ever since that day everything changed, started drawing, then shading and being detailed trying to make whatever was in my head to appear on paper.

I started writing raps and poems around teenage years and developed a voice and storytelling. Once I was approaching high school I borrowed a camera from a family friend, who was using school equipment from his college to do a thesis film for a grade, and did a short that was in my head and edited it on the VCR (yup).

I would film many skits, test films, and ambitious features with whatever I had and could get until I released my first official short in 2011 that screened at the local movie theater. I worked on a feature for 3 years after that called ’54:17′ which stars JoMarie Payton (Harriet Winslow of Family Matters).

Where I am today? ‘What’s More Important?’ is the new series and project I’m working on now along with some new projects in the works with the goal to elevate production value, writing, story-telling, quality and acting constantly and persistently.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Rough road, or like my friends and I like to say ‘A rough city mane’.

The struggle is most definitely lack of finances, lack of connections and getting prominent exposure to all the creative and dope projects, content and storytelling. I work and pray on that everyday.

The wealth of knowledge, drive and love for what I do is definitely what gets through the roughness.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Actor, Writer, Director, Showrunner, Creative Director, Rapper, Music Supervisor, Cinematographer, Photographer, Editor, (a little bit of Sound Design), and VFX.

I specialize in pretty much all of these. I’m known mostly for Acting, Directing, Cinematography and Photography. Most proud of all of the recent project ‘What’s More Important?’ Series. I’m fearless, self-taught, I do a whole lot with very little, I execute no matter what, and quality over quantity. And I’m genuinely happy and excited about what I do.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
A peace of mind, overall and being the best version of me I can be. Specifically, having zero debts, everything owned being paid in full. Creative freedom, creating and being a part of quality projects and works I can be proud of, traveling to the dopiest destinations in the world, and being excited throughout the journey. Inspire while affecting lives positively and investing in my community and people to prosper while dropping gems.
